Pleased to see The Eight Bells have re-opened the kitchen! The culinary skills of the new landlord are fabulous. I had the El Royale burger and it was delicious. Generous serving with sides at a reasonable price ?? definitely worth a visit.

Came down on a Friday night with my mates for a couple and it had an amazing atmosphere. Came back the Sunday lunch to try the food and omg I just wish I didn’t have breakfast. It was so mouth watering and just took a normal breakfast to a whole new level. Definitely planning on trying the whole menu. So we ended up there New Year’s Eve and what a blast the staff and the locals were amazing and friendly bunch of people. Let’s talk about drinks great gin selection, wine, larger, guinness and maybe a cider. Only down side their ale selection is on the lower side but I just think of my dad he’s a big ale fan. But if you take anything from this review take this great food great people and not badly priced and it’s dog friendly.

Went for lunch one day and drinks the next. Really good food off a nice menu. We had our kids so we had varying needs and all were met really well. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Great selection of drinks as well and all at good prices. Well done to the team and many thanks!

Popped in for dinner last Friday evening with my mum having not eaten here for a while and our first visit since the change in ownership. The burger was one of the best I’ve had, rivalling the London joints, and came with all the extras including a generous pot of fab mac & cheese. Would highly recommend and looking forward to trying their brunch menu soon.

First time eating here since the pub changed hands, a welcoming atmosphere and some new beers on tap. The menu is quite varied but we both fancied burgers. The boyfriend had the cheeseburger, I am veggie and after asking if they could do a veggie alternative was advised they could do a mushroom and pepper pattie. It was absolutely delicious with 3 patties, crispy fries and homemade macaroni cheese and coleslaw. We were both absolutely stuffed and happy! This is our local and will definitely eat here again soon, looking forward to sampling the brunch menu next.
