Wife and I had amazing Sunday roast. I like the choice of meat or different meats on your plate if you prefer. Nice spuds, veg and home made gravy.We have never been before, will be back.Soon!

We have dined here many timed over the last 30 years or so and seen many changes in Landlord and Landlady. The night we visited there had been a recent change in Management. The pub and restaurant were busy and the staff were very friendly. We sat in the bar area and whilst they have quite a large menu (including the specials) I have to say that the food was only OK. For starters my wife had soup of the day and I had pate.The soup was Heinz out of a tin and the pate was a slab cut down the middle. It was as I said OK, but plain and simple pub grub at restaurant prices. OK but not for me.

Popped in for lunch for the first time today. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the pub. The food was amazing, friendly staff and reasonably priced, would highly recommend.

Just moved to the area. Thought we would try the Red Lion for a roast dinner. Wow, the size of the portions were amazing. Compliments to the chef as the turkey I had was delicious and I even tried my husbands lamb - which was also delicious. Will definitely recommend and be going back.
