“It’s been a while since I had a curry as good as this in the UK. Though not on the menu, we could get a plain sweet lassi. The texture, taste and temperature were perfect. The poppadoms were generous and crunchy. The chutney’s were fresh and tasty. Simple but good. This is where many others go wrong. I ordered a single portion of onion bhaji for two. A generous helping of 3 bhajis with a yoghurt sauce. They were light, perfectly cooked and tasty. The following chicken curries were fresh, not too oily and super tasty. They were labeled medium but, to my taste, not hot, yet very well balanced spices and taste. Served with a pilau rice and peshwari nan, both of which were excellent. It’s a vibrant and busy place on a Saturday and the service was friendly, attentive and efficient. You can see the cooking in the open kitchen with a great attention to cleanliness all round. This could easily be one of the best Indian food restaurants in the UK.”
