“Lovely friendly experience from start to finish. Accommodating staff, fresh ingredients and great portion sizes. Good coffee and great interior. Clean hygienic toilets with gorgeous hand wash and lotion. Will definitely return.”

The coffee is smooth, cakes are fire.

“We had three pizzas there tomighy which were all gorgeous! The toppings were not your standard fare and the sourdough bases were fab. The staff was so warm and welcoming particularly with our overtired hugry two year old on the verge of a breakdown. We were given a great seat and crayons/colouring which saved our night. The gelato was fabulous too!”

“Obscure is my go-to coffee shop in Chester. My usual order would be a Filter coffee, but on this occasion i got an iced matcha latte. The service is always incredible here. The 2 baristas i quite often see, know what they’re doing, seriously.

In addition, they have a lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches to accompany your hot and cold drinks. It is relatively small compared to other coffee shops i’ve been to, especially in Chester.

However, if you’re travelling alone or with friends, i would very much recommend you come here and check it out for yourselves.”

“we had the most amazing day at tattenhall marina, where we hired a boat for the day. the staff were so friendly. we had to change boat before we set off due to no fault of anyones, and Oli the manager couldn't do enough for us. we had a pastry and coffee on the house, drinks for boat too due inconvenience. would recommend any time and we will definitely be returning”
