“We stumbled upon this lovely little tearoom as we were exploring Chester and we would very much recommend. It is only a small space although there is space upstairs, but we were incredibly lucky by the sounds of it to be seated so we would very much recommend booking ahead (they took several over the phone while we were seated).
They do a great variety of cakes and loose leaf tea. We opted for a scone and a lemon slice and although the lemon slice was a little bit dry for my liking the flavour of the lemon was wonderful. The scone was fresh and there was also a selection of jam to choose from.
Staff were lovely, happy to have a little chat even though they were busy, and service was prompt.
The loos are located upstairs though so something to consider if you have mobility issues but we're clean and tidy.”

“First time at the Bluebell, had a lovely lunch, and watching the food come out of the kitchen, all the dishes looked amazing. Will be coming back. Best to book”

“Popped in today on the way home for a quick bit. Fancied some pasta and it was really good with great prices, especially for Chester ?. Mozzarella and Parma starter with some focaccia, both really nice and fresh. Had lasagne and linguine scoglio for mains. Lasagne was typical lasagna, not bad, but not great. Scoglio was nice, seafood was fresh, although overall just a little too salty. Great experience, staff were exceptional and made us feel welcomed. Will certainly be going back and with the kids next time. Thanks”

“This restaurant was our choice for a birthday meal, and it was mediocre. \nMy partner and I hadn't made a reservation but the staff sat us immediately which was lovely. The booths were very comfortable and we had a good amount of space and privacy. The menus are so expensive and personally I dont think you get enough for what you pay for! They do offer a 30% off mains when you have a cinema ticket (theres a cineworld nextdoor) but when we told them this, they didnt even ask to check our ticket? not complaining, got the discount anyway but I feel like they should be checking that... \nStaff seemed in a rush to take our order when we hadnt decided yet. But overall the food quality was good and the food came out quite quickly.”

“We visited yesterday 19/12, as a party of 13 ( 8 kids 5 adults ) for our annual end of term celebration. Our server Niamh was outstanding. Hands down the best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We are a tricky party with 4 ppl with allergies. Niamh was exceptional. By the end she knew most of the kids names. Great food and service- we will definitely return.”
