Italian Restaurants in Chester

“Honestly if I could give this restaurant six stars I would. The food was amazing (the saltimbocca was definitely in the top ten most delicious things I've ever eaten in my life) and the staff were attentive, friendly and had an in-depth knowledge of everything on the menu, which really helped as there is a lot to choose from.
The only annoying thing is that I live nearly 250 miles from the restaurant - but if I ever go to Chester again, I'll definitely be paying Artezzan another visit!”

“We had three pizzas there tomighy which were all gorgeous! The toppings were not your standard fare and the sourdough bases were fab. The staff was so warm and welcoming particularly with our overtired hugry two year old on the verge of a breakdown. We were given a great seat and crayons/colouring which saved our night. The gelato was fabulous too!”

“We came to Chester for the day and googled where was good to eat dinner. Up popped “the UKs third best pizza restaurant” (and the only one outside of London) and it was a no brainer.
We had the Salsiccia e Friarielle and the Bufala. They were both superb. Next time I’m trying the ragu pizza.
We then had the ricotta e pera which was a nice light (ish!) ending to the meal.
Service was fantastic, and it was a scorching hot day so we enjoyed our meal outside the restaurant.”

“Popped in for a quick drink here on a Friday evening. What a treat. From the off we were welcomed by Pratima who continued to be attentive, helpful and very friendly throughout. We also met her colleague James. Clearly very experienced and knowledgeable of the wine list, he recommended a couple of beautiful wines to us and even let us sample them. We were unable to stay for long unfortunately but we will definitely be visiting again. We recommend you do too, 100%

“We had a lovely meal and a relaxing time at Pizza Express tonight. Our lovely host was amazing - he went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, well-fed and paying the most user friendly price by offering app services and advice. Such a professional person absolutely made our evening and we were talking about his kindness all the way home. It can be difficult to go out on a snowy, freezing evening but he made it worth it - along with the super fine pizza!”
