Lovely place, great service from friendly staff, good well priced and good value for money, just be aware of the low ceilings and you should have a lovely time

Called in here for tea and cake while out in Chester with family for a birthday treat. It's a lovely tea room with a nice menu and helpful friendly staff. Would definitely call again when in Chester.

Smart tearoom right in the heart of Chester, has a huge selection of teas and coffees from around the world, warm homemade fruit scone with clotted cream and jam was divine.

Found this place on the first day of our visit to Chester. Very rare to find a place with a proper vegan menu, so I was sold. The staff were friendly, the building is lovely, food was delicious (I had the Thai inspired burger, but was too hungry and enjoying it too much to take a photo!). We liked the place and the options so much, we came back again for the second day of our trip, when I only had a vegan cheese and onion sandwich because I wanted to leave room for a pudding! If we’d stayed a week, I think we would have been able to eat there every day, which is a rare thing for a vegan to say! Next time we’re in Chester, we’ll be back…

Me& the hubby went for lunch had we realised portions were generous we probably would have shared...? but it was all very fresh& very tasty..
Lovely old fashioned tea rooms, can recommend the all day breakfast @ £6.75, pot of tea which comes with extra water, and scones served with clotted cream, butter and jam @ £3. If you go after 3pm tea/coffee and a cake for £5.50. It is always bust before 2pm but they have three floors. On all our visits the staff have been helpful and very friendly.

Me and my family have been to this cafe several times and we’ve had a good experience, lovely food and friendly staff. But recently me and my dad went and came away disappointed. They didn’t have what I first ordered so eventually went for the vegan breakfast, which was just average, the plate was swimming with baked beans and I’ve never seen mushrooms like them which was such a shame since they’re one of my favourite items on a breakfast- such a dark colour, small and wrinkly. My dad ordered the Cajun chicken which he said was on the dry side and the salad could have done with some sort of dressing. Although the staff were lovely no one checked up on us during our meal even though the place was quiet. We did say the mushrooms weren’t good at the end and got an apology. Hopefully this was just a one off
