Came her with my wife we are 40 years ! Been drinking on the day and alway vist this bar when we visit from Manchester. On returning at the night dress smart and casual was told by the bouncer the my cargo pants was not Friday night dress code ! Been to multiple Venus in Chester “pop corn “ the church “Not a single issue ! I think the bouncers are on some kind of power trip ! Absolutely pathetic

I phoned up to see if they were showing the premier league darts this evening - the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and polite.Beautiful venue with pool tables upstairs, and a variety of TV's downstairs.Scampi was delicious! And good menu choice. The two members of staff on shift (sorry I didn't get your names - Thursday 29th Feb 24 6pm-late) were very accommodating and polite. Thank you for a wonderful evening guys! I will be back when I visit again in April :)

Terrible service brought out wrong food twice after they forgot originally and we had to chase it
Went on a quiet Sunday afternoon and sat downstairs. Placed an order for 2 meals. There was only handfull of tables occupied at best, and only 2 tables were having food.We place our order and 15 mins later the table next to us placed theirs. Our meal arrived after 25 mins. I ordered a burger and chips and my wife order 3 items from the “ Choose 3, 5 or 7 plates”NONE of our meals were hot.The table next to us, that placed their order 15 mins after we did , received their meals just after we received ours. Looks like they left ours under the lamps while they worked on the table next to us, probably explains why our meals weren’t hot.9 out of 10 times I would have sent that meal back, but we were soooo hungry we put up with it, but I did mentioned my complaint to a member of staff.On quiet day, with only one other table ordering food, it’s really poor that our meals were just warm.Would I go again? yes for drinks, no for food.

Weird bouncers on the door, not a good atmosphere at all, general rude approach, if you want some trade, be nice.Don’t go if you are over 20 years old and want to enjoy your night.
