“Had a birthday celebration at The Goshawk for 11 of us. Everything was excellent. Food, atmosphere , service and value. “Very busy and seated in a very small area for a large table but believe there was a wedding.It was heaving but we were dealt with well by lovely server Archie.Lamb shank was amazing, gorgeous!Starters and puddings were average, puddings were also quite cold when we were expecting them heated.Generally a nice location, nice food and nice vibe. Just extremely busy and squished when we went, and could do with a little bit of improvement on the temperature and quality of some of the starters and puddings to get top stars!”

“Warm welcome from.staff on arrival, made me feel very at ease as I was on my own, ordered the lamb shank which came out fast and was pipping hot, plus delicious. Had company from the pub cat whilst the rest of the customer did a pub quiz. Very pleasant experience here. Food was lovely and staff were great. Thank you.”

“Nice little pub near Delamere. Dog friendly. Didn't try food but smelled good. Hot chocolate is not the best tasted like instant hot chocolate. ? staff friendly and quick service. Toilets spotless. There are plenty of parking spots and outside seating, but I expect it gets bust in summer as such a lovely pub.”

“Typical pub grub but cooked and presented better than most.Service was ok but like a lot of places, they miss sales by not coming around to ask if we were ok for drinks.If you fancy a pub meal, then it would be difficult to find better in Congleton.”

“Played bowls there and went into the pub after for a couple of pints. The pub is big but was very quiet. Reasonable prices though and nothing wrong with the beer.”
