Food was great, shame it was so cold. We ate with coats on as did others, ruined the atmosphere.

Went for friends birthday party and had Sunday lunch. It was well cooked and hot. The service was fast, friendly and helpful.

What a great pub! The beer was smashing, the food was amazing! Top quality Sunday roast, lovely staff, good atmosphere.

Visited on a quiet afternoon but found it to be everything you'd want a country pub to be.Parking: Loads of space. Safe.

This is an authentic English pub… Just has the right feel the moment you walk through the door. The landlord is very helpful and welcoming…. It was our first visit today and we will be back Beer was kept well and pulled to perfection…we had two different meals and both were really good. Give it a try it will not disappoint.

Nice little pub near Delamere. Dog friendly. Didn't try food but smelled good. Hot chocolate is not the best tasted like instant hot chocolate. ? staff friendly and quick service. Toilets spotless. There are plenty of parking spots and outside seating, but I expect it gets bust in summer as such a lovely pub.

Called in Wednesday teatime, pub near empty, waited 50mins for food, order not put through on till - fair enough, advised 3 times "not long now" eventually arrived !!!! pie ok menu stated 'chunky chips' more like dinky chips, small cooked from frozen, yuk, so called chips, how people rate this baffles me !!!!.

This is one of our locals that we use for a Sunday roast or similar. The owners are ace people and the atmosphere is very cosy. There's a good selection of beers...what's not to like? This questionnaire asked what has changed. None of the options covered our choices. We had a superb cod and chips plus veggies 'n'at and and a perfect Ploughman's, washed down with a nice and fruity/spicy Chilean merlot. Perfectimundo!

Always a nice meal here. Try to book though as its difficult to get a table especially inside. It's quite small inside the pub but it's nice. Nice waiting on staff. Would recommend.

Disgusted by the staff in here. After queuing for 45 minutes to get some drinks we proceeded outside. The duck race was on and as newcomers we were unsure where to buy the ducks. Advised to buy them at the bar. We went back to the bar to ask to be told "get in the queue and buy some drinks whilst you're at it" Well we left. Two families with upset grandchildren. Clearly profit before people. Disgusting when meant to be a charitable event.
