Gorgeous views, and a quick and easy drive from Macclesfield. We sat in the outside covered hut as it was very windy and it was a lovely spot to stop for a drink.

Great pint, Great views, Great historical pub. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The pub has so much potential in regards to the future plans highlighted on their website, i.e. accommodation, restaurant, etc.. These plans can come to fruition if we all support a brilliant small business in Macclesfield Forrest.
December 2023 : Toasty warm. Fantastic fires. Well kept beer.closed MTWT at the moment.

Popped in after a walk at Macclesfield forest. Such a lovely traditional pub with log burning fires which was much needed after our frosty walk. The owners were really friendly and we had a good chat with them about the pub, what they have done to renovate it and what they plan to do which was nice to hear. Also some fantastic views so we will be back in different seasons to be able to sit outside and admire them with another cheeky tipple of course. I would recommend to anyone.
