Had a meal here on Friday. Service and food was absolutely spot on. Couldn’t fault it in any way. Also the waiter has a superb knowledge of the wines and pushed us to one I’d never have tried and it was amazing. Highly recommend and we will be back again v soon. ??

If you want pleasant surroundings including being next door to a medieval wooden church superb fresh food and unobtrusive professional service this is the place for you Two of us had the set lunch and one of us had the a la carte All were really pleased with both the quality of the food and the knowledgeable server ( a guy from Mauritius whose wine pairing suggestions were top notch) Decor and ambiance plus cleanliness top marks A pleasure and delight

We went there for lunch on Good Friday and had an amazing lunch mixing British classics with a French flair. The duck, the ewe and the triffle were delicious and service was very friendly and professional ! Thanks again.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. Went for the 7 course tasting menu which is really 2 starters 2 mains and a desert plus two little bits to make up the numbers. Service was good but lacked a bit if finesse for a restaurant at this price, but it was fine. Ambiance was great - the restaurant was full with a nice buzz to it The food was excellent. Each course was beautifully presented and exceptionally tasty. A great fine dining find for us in the Cheshire countryside. We drove 40 minutes to get there - and I will happily do it again in the near future. Highly recommended if you want something a couple of notches nicer.

We had an amazing lunch experience at La Popote. We chose to get together on the Saturday lunchtime for Mother’s Day to avoid the busyness of the Sunday. We had been several times before but this was our first under the new owners. Upon arrival we were offered a choice to sit inside or outside and chose a lovely corner area inside. We ate off the lunchtime menu and had wine and cocktails and we all really enjoyed our food and drink. We were taken care of by a lovely waiter who took time to chat to us and make us feel so welcome, he really made it such an enjoyable time for us, we will definitely be returning. Thank you La Popote for such a wonderful afternoon
