A proper backstreet pub, lots of different real ales on, bass is exceptional!! Many, many ciders! Try a cider tapas board! Great idea!Pies on sale which are good, always busy, lovely but small beer garden out back, whats not to like?

Called in with friends at opening time after a walk in the surrounding area. Friendly welcoming pub, good selection of ales and malt whisky. Bought a bag of crisps to try the food!!Very evident that the Cotton Tree was very popular even mid afternoon on a Thursday and I am not surprised. If traditional is your bag than give this place a try.

Unique in as much there's no music or slot machines.Very popular in the evenings despite is small in floor space. The landlady Jane runs a tight ship.Frequently occupied by many regulars, many friendly charactersFood is limited to cold pies or crisps.Once a month, the pubhosts a Bluegrass band that plays novel often amusing music American style. It's probably the best pub in Bollington that attracts a certain clientèle.Highly recommended.

A drinks only pub, full of character and full of characters. Perfect Timmy Taylor’s Landlord, a list of scrumpy as long as your arm! An absolute gem of a watering hole, with a beautiful little garden.

Visited on the strength of a review saying the pub was quirky! They were not wrong and we loved it! Loads of railway memorabilia inside but we sat outside in the compact beer garden, what a suntrap l! Had a lovely couple of hours in the afternoon chatting with some locals, defo worth calling in!

Lots of greenfly knocking about in here. In January. Have to protect your pint.
