Went for lunch with my family,I don't eat any other meat than beef it was very rare,I asked if there was any well done and was told no I saw the other end of the joint was well done I asked for that and was told by the chef that he wouldn't carve it,very disappointed,I didn't say anything at the time didn't want to upset my family,the meat I had was just the off cuts which were well done .

Nothing was great, was really busy and I was charged for 2 x carvery's when I didn't end up having carvery. We ordered off the menu (starters and sandwiches) and got charged for carvery and starter and sandwich.

I often have a carvery here as it’s the closest to where I live, I love the location.So, I made a booking using the Ap and attended at lunchtime 13 March 24. It was very busy as often is the case. I ordered a soft drink and was shown my table by Celia who is the manager. I chose the roast beef and had roasts potatoes, mash,and vegetables with lashings of their beef gravy.The meal was truly excellent in every way, I devoured the lot! A special thanks to Celia and her staff for making my visit an enjoyable experience. Took the grandchildren, pub was nice and tidy with a pleasant atmosphere. Generally carvery food was good except the Yorkshire pudding which was really hard to cut, had to tear it with my hands. It felt like it was overdone.

The carvery is good value for money but this place really need a refurbishment. I don’t expect to sit on torn chairs, alongside looking at dirty walls. Tidy the place up so it’s clean and comfortable.

Dined at 6pm And there were only 3 other small groups in. The lad who greeted us was nice and friendly. 2 staff behind the bar didn’t acknowledge us and looked so miserable when we said hello, Carvery server the same. Food was not great which surprised us as it’s always really nice, Gammon had a strange taste, Yorkshire puddings were totally flat stodgy and heavy. The rest of the food was barely lukewarm. Nobody came round during the meal, nobody asked if we wanted a dessert and nobody came for us to pay, we went up to the bar to pay and even then they’re was absolutely minimal interaction

I want to give the santa, the lady helping santa and most of all the blonde gentlemen on the bar a big thank you for their great customer service. The gent on the bar is so friendly, professional and an asset to your team! Have a wonderful Christmas! Laura

Absolutely awful service, wasn’t asked if we wanted a drink until right at the very end. Food wasn’t great. Veg options were all potato based. Staff were very unprofessional stood around chatting didn’t once ask how the meal was or check in.When asking for the bill they suggested we pay at the bar.Overall terrible experience. Staff need better training in customer service.

We were delighted to be served by a happy and welcoming georgie. The food was great and the chefs were polite as always. This is the first interaction we had with Georgie, needless to say she was lovely, very bubbly and chatty. The service here was great and it felt as though we were paid a lot of attention to (not like them rushed past paced restaurants when servers rush of not acknowledging you). Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning, never disappoints!
