We discovered this little gem by accident. A lovely little real ale outlet for Bollington Brewery serving guest ales.It has an intimate welcoming atmosphere, good food and a huge plus for me. No TV!

Fantastic pub with a cosy log fire, warm atmosphere and excellent staff plus the food was fabulous. We had the 3 course Christmas lunch which was excellent value for money with good portions and very tasty. My husband had a local beer Long Hop from the Bollington Brewery and I had a mulberry Gin with Folkington tonic. Highly recommended! Plus it's in a lovely location in Bollington too so ideal for walkers etc.

I visited during a quiet afternoon, beer selection is great. It will cater for most palletes. I didn't eat.Wheelchair accessibility: Fine
We had Sunday dinner here. It was pretty lively when we arrived due to it being a family friendly pub but soon calmed down as the evening progressed. Very warm and friendly staff and dog friendly too! Had the roast dinner which was nice followed by the sticky toffee pudding. A good choice if in the area but give them a ring to book a table as it does get pretty busy.

Have eaten here many times before. Today very disappointed. Limited menu, roast, pies, fishnchips, gammon or bangersnmash. Chose the cheese and onion pie, more pastry and air than filling, mushy peas lukewarm, couldn't have skinny fries instead of chunky chips??? Table sticky. When asked by the waitress if everything was OK I said alright but not the best; she completely ignored me. Not bad enough to send back but, sadly, would not be in a hurry to eat here again.

Cracking little pub, nestled in the small town of Bollington, just yards away from the Brewery that supplies most of its Ales. (Bollington Brewery). The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is superb (we ate from daily menu on the Saturday evening, and Sunday Roasts the following day). Every dish was excellent, but the real winner for me is the Bacon Cheese Sauce on the loaded fries and the hot dog. Outstanding!! Keep doing what you're doing The Vale! We look forward to coming back to see you soon!

Lovely pub with friendly staff and typically a constant presence of customers so it always has an ambiance. The beer selection is excellent and makes this place we'll worth stopping by.

I loved the chilli pear cider. Food ok if you like pub food. I eat lots of veg (I'm not a vegetarian) so struggled to find something to suit me. If they'd offered a Buddha bowl with the falafel or there was a salad option I'd have had that.
Lovely lunch spot.
