Lots of pluses for this venue!
Warm welcome, Relaxed ambience, Local produce on the menu, Tasty, well presented food, Plenty of parking

Only used the restaurant based on the good reviews but sadly it wasn’t worth the 45 minute drive. My wife had a nice sea bream and mushroom starter but my starter was just okay and the Sunday roast was not good at all.

Food and drinks: I had the roast dinner but the only choice of meat at 1pm was Beef either topside or slow braised, pork was unavailable. My slow braised beef was like shoe leather and I couldn’t cut it never mind chewing it.

Absolutely amazing afternoon, fine food (Sunday roast beef topside and sticky toffee ginger pudding…delicious), and great friendly staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will visit again. Thanks.

Me and a few friends visited last night and were amazed at the value and quality of the food. I had a steak and you can tell the quality of the beef, melt in your mouth. Really well done country pub feel, would highly recommend!

Only popped in as doing family research. Fantastic atmosphere and nice service. Only had nachos as a snack and they were lovely, all homemade including tortillas! :)

First time back here in years seeing the makeover and change of name. Made very welcome for a late lunch after a walk. We are planning to return for a full evening meal with friends. The food was good with the menu having a theme of serving rare breed meats. Our lunch included honey roasted parsnip soup....really very good.

Staff member very kindly drove us to an events venue as there were no taxi's available. Also made changes to our breakfast due to dietary requirements. Great, friendly staff. Would stay again.

Well I have driven past the Carden Arms for some time ?️ now, on the way to Wrexham, with the best intentions of popping in.
So today I finally did it……
What a beautiful relaxing place….. The bars are great ? and there’s a great selection of beers ? and largers. Aswell as spirits & wines…….
The staff are exceptional, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I tried the Roast Dinner and it was delicious ? The beef ? was wonderful and the pork was succulent and sweet. It’s impressive to see that all the meat ? is reared and breed on site and all the vegetables are grown in season and harvested here too.
I would highly recommend trying the Carden Arms.

Don’t miss out on having a dessert though ?! The Blueberry Cheesecake ? was incredible…… & there’s a great deal for half a portion of dessert ? and a coffee ☕️!!

I hate to give this review but it shocked me, Friday afternoon and half the menu was unavailable. No steak, no pie, no fish. The alternative offered was the sandwich menu.
I'll try this place again soon and hope for better availability as its local. But this wasn't good at all
