Such wonderful, clean and comfy rooms. I liked the decor and thought it was clever although our own lighting always preferred as British made to start with!We really enjoyed our stay and felt well looked after.Breakfast was amazing.Would definitely recommend.

Love this place great staff and atmosphere. Had a couple of meals recently the last one being very disappointing!! Fishing for the fish in the fish pie !!!!! Topping of lovely mash and crispy topping of cheese very hot great . Just didn’t find hardly any fish at all hunting around in my mash think mine must have been the last one they made and ran out of the fish ?. Won’t stop me going back though but not for the fish pie sorry .

Went for New Year's day lunch, great service. Food fabulous, had Scotch egg and Fish pie. Very tasty. Highly recommend and spoke to manager, very welcoming and she will be pleased to know Luke won at darts ?

Did not stay, so I have not ranked rooms. We had a lovely meal on Boxing day in what is a popular and busy pub restaurant. Both dogs were made very welcome and settled comfortably. The menu clearly showed which items were gluten free for the person in the group with Coeliac disease. Staff gave a clear explanation of how they prevent cross contamination of the gluten free food. The serving of Moules et frites was small for a main course.Safety: Garland round banister rail leading upstairs to ladies loo meant that it was difficult to get a secure grip if needing a handhold going up stairs.Signage on downstairs disabled toilet needs to be clearer. I had to wait for an able bodied person to vacate on both times I used this.

Atmosphere, ambience & architecture all combine for an excellent experience. We didn't stay, just there for an evening meal. Child and dog friendly with a fine outside area too.Food & drinks: Excellent & varied menu. The food was perfectly cooked, elegantly presented, fresh & hot. The staff although busy worked as a team to give great service. I wholeheartedly recommend the the apple tarte tatin.

Proper pub, cask ale, great food and brilliant rooms. What's not to like.

Nicely appointed rooms in a separate courtyard. Comfortable bed. Decor is cottage style and well-maintained. Excellent breakfast in the main inn.

Food was good. Service awful. Went about 6months ago service was poor thought we would try again. Poor service again. Had to keep finding staff to ask for things waited so long for ketchup we had finished food. Toast came after breakfast, won’t be returning. Shame as food was good and the pub is lovely decorated. Just need to get their act together .
