Won a meal for two with a bottle of wine. Staff and locals friendly and inviting. Could choose anything from dinner menu and dessert. Steak and ale pie and chilli were very good sized portions and tasty (and reasonably priced if you were paying). Chips were gorgeous. Chocolate brownie and apple crumble both good also. Nice bottle of red wine. Quiet as it is a Wednesday night, bingo was just about to get started as we were leaving. Thank you for having us. :)

What a fantastic atmosphere with a mixture of local people and visitors from the nearby canal. They were holding a fund raising event for Nantwich & District Riding for the Disabled that was lively and great fun. The chips were delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Thank you to everyone especially the brilliant friendly Staff led by Richard and Sharon who worked tirelessly all day.

Fantastic food at a very fair price, and a great selection of beer, wines and spirits. They also have a pool table and a juke box, a lovely beer garden, host regular live music and hold a weekly quiz. Everything a local pub should be!

Understaffed and felt grubby Only one person serving behind bar - very slow service and whole place could do with a makeover

What a lovely little pub. Good sized portions and made to feel super welcome by the very friendly staff. They really cared about the customers and it showed. Will definitely be back.

Bit unfair to rate this pub . Called in on a Tuesday but as it was quiz night they weren't doing food . So as we wanted something to eat we went and spent our money somewhere else .

We visited for the first time aa recently moved to the area and had heard great things about the food here. We weren’t disappointed as the food was perfect, priced excellently and was real home cooked food. We wanted to play pool first but eat outside and the staff were so helpful and set us a table up ready.

Couldn’t leave a review on the food or staff because the car park consists of 8 spaces and 4 were taken up by a pick up. Poor design and poor management. You should always have space for your customers.

Lovely canalside pub. Good food and reasonably priced. A busy pub so a longer wait for food but worth it.Dogs allowed inside on leads.Parking: A small car park to the rear for a possible dozen cars.
