Visited with friends. Friendly welcome and taken to our table. I had the hunters chicken but upgraded to the buttermilk one. Absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend. Lovely food and lovely friendly

The place was spotlessly clean, the food was delicious, we were told we had to order at the bar yet other tables had their orders taken at the table, maybe it's because we were walk in diners they may have bookings still we will return.

Chef "didn't see" one of our meals on the ticket so someone had to watch everyone else eat their food before getting their own. Mash potato was cold and hard on children's meal. My chorizo mac n cheese was tasty but such a small portion for £15.50!

Have been here a few times recently (latest 29/2/24) and the service, food and welcome has been excellent. Steaks are good and the Lamb Shank special was very tasty and well presented. Our server, Henry, was friendly and attentive. We had room to share puddings each time and the sticky toffee pudding and lemon tart are both very enjoyable. Recommended.
One of starters was not as described on the menu and had sweet chilli sauce rather than a honey sauce.It took 2 hours to receive our main meal.One of our main meals arrived after 2 people had finished.One of the main meals was missing caramelised onion chutney, when we asked we were brought some so it had been forgotten rather than not available.

The service was overstretched to non existent. We went around 15:00 and it was after 16:00 when the food arrived. I ordered the pork and crackling but there was no crackling !No one came to see if everything was alright. I'm more used to the Brunning and Price chain.Not impressed, but we did have a 30% off voucher which helped.........

Service was really good , however both my partner and I had the trio roast dinner after a bit of a wait food brought out , had to ask for salt menu said comes with horseradish and apple sauce . We weren't even asked if we wanted and , stuffing and pork scratching was also absent . Had to send back as was barely Luke warm , we were asked to you want it heating up and we asked for it to be cooked fresh . Came back quite quickly , this time with everything except the sauce which we had to ask for again , once they got it right it was very nice .
