We were recommended to have a meal at the Royal Oak.we were not disappointed the food was excellant.
The service is first class.Will definitely be coming back we hope the fish pie is on the menu.

Great food, top-notch service and loads of space.I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked with a decent but not overpowering sauce and some veg.The waitresses were attentive without being pestering. They always knew when they were required. Very professional.There was enough space foe our 15 month old to run around after the meal and play without disrupting other tables.

Recommended by my daughter after she had festive menu before Xmas. We had lunchtime menu which was not particularly good. Staff, Penny in particular were lovely. Pub lovely, good coffee, good choice of ales, however the food left much to be desired. We had steak and ale pie with chips and mushy peas. The supposed steak pie was microwaved and mushier than the peas and was filled with beef mince. The apple crumble was also microwaved and not hot, nor was the custard. Penny was really very good, and I wish I could have left a better review, but I have to speak as I find. Sorry Royal Oak!!

First time at this pub but will certainly go again. Great food and can recommend even for a coeliac, and we were served by the lovely Penny who provided us with great service went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
