Frangipane fan here! I’ve extolled the virtues of Bolete’s croissants ? elsewhere. There’s no need for repetition here. The reason for my latest post is to let the reader know that todays experience just demonstrates the consistency with which excellence is achieved! So good ?

Whilst out and about delivering meat for #edgebutchers I popped in to see a couple of my fave people and bought a frangipane croissant. This is NOT a tasty treat. This is a sensory experience. I defy anyone not to include all 5 when tasting this delight and you’ll be lucky to get one, like me, coz, as Tony the Tiger ? said,“they’rrrrrre great!” Pete the meat?

Fabulous cafe serving excellent lunchtime dishes and the most amazing cakes including the best almond croissant I’ve ever tasted. Got to be quick as they are snapped up. Great stop for passing cyclists To refuel. Staff very friendly and dogs are allowed.

Quietly going about being one of the best brunches on the Wirral. Small but really nicely thought out menu. Food was fantastic; we’re looking forward to coming back and trying some of the larger lunch options.Coffee was decent and the team were lovely.

I visited today for the second time after a positive first visit. We had food from the Sunday menu and it was amazing! Also had one of the best brownies I’ve ever had! The atmosphere and staff were great and super friendly. Both indoors and outdoors are also immaculate. Bonus that they are dog friendly and really accommodating. I will be back again soon ☺️ Thank you!

We ate brunch here last Thursday whilst in the area looking for a new home. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the atmosphere and environment great! We'll definitely be back !

We've been itching to come back to try the Sunday menu after our first visit in June and I am pleased to report that it did not disappoint. We had the Focaccia, mushroom toast, tomato salad, Pork Croquetas and the Charcuterie and all was excellent - fresh, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The Pork Croquetas, in particular, were absolutely out of this world! We had ordered too much food but were able to take the leftovers away so nothing was wasted. The coffee is excellent too. This is a great little establishment run by two young people who are really putting all their passion into delivering great quality food and friendly service. I'd wholeheartedly recommend The Real Food Kitchen to everyone!

No, I am not being lazy in dishing out 5 stars for the three criteria. First, the food is top-end restaurant quality. Each meal I have had here has had the touch of a talented chef. You can tell. The service is of a similar standard. You get to know about the provenance of items on the menu. Finally, the venue is as good as a the menu. There is an outside area and the interior is spacious. In sum, this restaurant is a gem.

A great wide open room (with no clutter) was the first pleasant surprise here followed by a very personal welcome from the staff. We had the delicious soup (with a hot kick), a toasted sandwich and a sausage muffin to accompany. Good choice of ales and coffees. I also took cakes home with me. A place to return to? Absolutely!

Just visited RFK for Father’s Day Sunday lunch with the family. We had a fantastic relaxing time with amazing food and service. The menu included a good selection of starters - we had the whole fried Brie and mushroom toast - both were excellent. The mains included a choice of 2 roast meats, a veggie pie and sea bass and were all freshly source locally. The roast beef was exceptional. We really enjoyed the ambience and relaxing feel of the place and will definitely be back. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The cakes/slices are amazing and the coffee is always fresh. My daughter recommended the turmeric latte, I don't often stray from a flat white but I gave it a try - EXQUSITE. This is my new favourite. There is a great outdoor seating area that is well shaded and quiet. The indoor area has good acoustics, high ceilings with well spaced seating.

Visited for Father’s Day Sunday lunch. Excellent roast beef but there were also vegetarian and fish options. Tried fried whole brie to share and mushroom toast starters which were both fantastic. The ambience was very pleasant and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back

First time to Real Food Kitchen, had such a lovely experience. I ordered the breakfast smoothie (really good, not too sweet!) and the cheese pickle/siracha toastie (delicious). Team are attentive and welcoming, place has a nice relaxed vibe which I needed today. Keen to come back and try more of the menu soon!!

We have been customers of the Real Food Kitchen for many years now and recently it has changed hands and they need to get up to speed. Despite having a trained chef the menu is very limited and for breakfast it is very egg heavy. Not very inspiring breakfast choice and missing porridge/granola/fruit and yoghurt! Sausage patty was tasty but only bread options not easy for Gluten free. Lunch is ok but again lots of bread. Feel they need a direction maybe channelling an Australian or Los Angeles healthy vibe would spice things up a bit!
