we arrived at 7pm, food arrived nearly two hours later and was cold, one meal was hot but not very good, one meal didn't arrive at all. Sent cold food back and waited 15 minutes, still no sign of it. We walked out and would never go again.

It's such a shame the Griffin has gone downhill over the last 18 months or so. On our recent family visit the mixed grills were cold, the signature burger was cold and the seafood special was overcooked - we expected better, especially paying £20 for a mixed grill.We used to be regulars up to about 18 months ago when we left the area. Then, the food was excellent and my favourite was the beef on the bone and it was worth paying more than your normal pub grub prices. Sadly the food now seems to be normal pub grub but with a premium price tag.

This is a great little pub if you want to get away from the rat raceThe only issue I've had here is that some of the staff are pushing for drinks or food all the time when you are sitting having a chat with family or friends I wish they would change this policy ordering drinks at your table and let people go to the bar when you want another drink also when we was in here at Christmas for a meal with friends from down south we found towards the end of the meal we was getting the feeling that you need to go especially the old guy that was on that shiftBut apart from that really nice pub ??

Great food, service is awesome like always, atmosphere nice, definitely recommended, but I think they should bring some of the old menü back, dose not have big choice since they change the menu ?☕???

I visited on 1.3.24, with my mum it was her birthday, we both absolutely loved the food, I had the camembert fondue starter OMG it was fabulous. The service was great, the staff were were very pleasant, welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. I couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be calling again.Vegetarian options: I had the camembert and vegetarian sausage and beans which were both on the specials

Went here for first time last night a young waitress seated us under window freezing cold had to put my scarf on she took our drinks order and recomended signature duck dish we both opted for this on her recommendation.The drinks came promptly 45 minute's later the same same waitress came back we thought she was taking a second drinks order! She asked were we ready to order food I said we did 45 minute's ago, she asked who with I explained you!She said who me are you sure, at this stage we were so hungry and opted to leave due to incompitence of waiting staff and coldness of place avoid!

A very nice looking pub just the food was disappointing . The burger lacked any seasoning , and the onion rings where very hard and not fresh cooked others in our pary of 5 said their food was over cooked.

Love taking our dog here. Food is good.The only reason I give 4 star for food is that I ordered bread and oils, the pitta bread was cold and didn't seem as if it had been toasted, the same with the thick bread, I think it would be better served warm.Service is great and accommodating, definitely one of our go to places
