Today is Monday the 25th March. The lady that was behind the till at around 9:30 tonight was super rude. I asked her if the brisket was nice and she looked at me like I’m stupid for not knowing what is popular and what isn’t and she answered me so bluntly. Rushing us to order which I get but the facial expressions and comments were completely uncalled for. My mate wanted to get the deal where you could get a dessert for free and because we were there late he wanted it to come out with the food potentially and she was pulling faces at him and was like are you sure in a very very judgmental tone, enough for him not to order dessert and regretting it later on. I understand that we got there late but we were so lovely and full of happy jolly energy and she sucked it out of us disrespectfully and for what? Because she wanted to go home? I don’t know what the reason was but there was no need to take it out on us. This is clearly a popular spot in wilmslow so I expected the customer service to at least be decent. This is my first time in wilmslow and at this restaurant and honestly no matter how good the food is I’d rather my money go to people who deserve it and try at work. Maybe this career choice isn’t for her, even if it was a bad day there was NO need to be rude. I’ve worked in a restaurant before and I would never do that. And guess what? I wouldn’t be rude like that on a normal day outside of work. Her attitude was distasteful and whoever the manager was the guy let it all happen so maybe hire more self aware people. In this day and age aswell? It’s the bare minimum really. What is a restaurant with socially incompetent staff?Other than that the food was great.

We visited this place last night and we were greeted by a lovely lady(didn’t catch her name) the interior was so retro and so unique, i loved it. The menu offers so so much option, plus they had separate vegan and gluten free menus! I ordered the burger and fries, it was so amazing, i also ordered a side of mac and cheese and oh my god, that was heaven on a plate, it was delicious! Will definitely recommend going here! And will definitely be coming again!The doggie menu is also adorable!

I visited a couple of months before*found a hair in my food the first time it came out and the lady (manager I think) took it back and I waited a while to get another plate again, while the rest of my family finished theirs. The second plate came out with a hair perfectly placed in the middle of the burger. I don’t like to assume the chefs did this on purpose, but if I didn’t pick the burger apart to give to my daughter I probably would never know a thick beard hair was in the middle of it. When we mentioned this to the manager she didn’t seem too concerned and refused to refund the meal for a while. We also asked why the chefs aren’t wearing nets on beards, she said it’s not company policy. Wouldn’t recommend the food unless you like it seasoned with greasy beard hair ?

I love this place! Sharon does an incredible job as the manager, and you are always greeted at the door with a smile from any of her team members. The atmosphere is lovely and food is brilliant. I am a fussy eater with allergies and I have never been made to feel like I’m being difficult when ordering. If you want a consistently excellent experience from the minute you walk in, to the minute you leave, this is the place!! Thank you Sharon for everything you do for this absolute gem of a place!
