My friend and I stopped at this little gem for a bite to eat and were not disappointed. Being from Bude, we appreciated that the bread that went into the epic cheese toastie was from Electric Bakery - the best around ? My friend had a hearty bean stew which was also delicious. We had a glass of wine each which was crisp and fruity - they clearly know how to pick! The owner was chatty and lovely, as were all the other staff. The decor is just beautiful - such nice vibes with gorgeous plants and loads of light streaming in - definitely interior inspo for DIY at home! Some of the negative reviews about this place are truly pathetic - written by keyboard warriors with nothing better to do in thier lives than have a dig at a small business which has really lifted Boscastle's vibes. Don't listen to the naysayers - get yourself down to this gem of a place ?

We were touring the beautiful North Cornwall coast and dropped in at The Good Stuff cafe in Boscastle. A lovely old building located in an idyllic harbour, however it would transpire that our cream tea experience would be far from 'good stuff'. Our tea arrived at our outside table without scones, which we assumed would duly arrive in a moment. Ten minutes later, no scones, and we had in the meantime drunk the tea. A lady at the table next to us got up and said to us, 'I'm leaving, it's carnage in there.' The cafe was certainly very busy that day, and this upset customer's comment did not bode well for us. I went to the serving area, and asked when we might receive the scones. The manager said, 'Oh, I think they went to the wrong table.' The girls serving all nodded. No apology from anyone. The manager said they would put scones in the oven and we would receive them shortly. I then pointed out that while waiting we had drunk the tea. 'No problem, you can have more tea.' But we are tea'd out, and we would have preferred to have had the tea and scones together.' Still no apology, and I was made to feel that I was a trouble-maker. I bit my tongue, and returned to the table. The scones did eventually turn up this time, and they were quite nice although slightly burnt. Subsequently, I went to pay and was offered a discount, but still no apology. I paid, my wife and I vowing never to return, but on closer inspection of the receipt I couldn't make much sense of it. So I went back to the serving area to get it clarified, and waited patiently in the ordering queue. The manager studiously avoided eye contact with me. Eventually the person in front of me had completed their order. I was about to speak, then the manager brusquely informed me that the person behind me had been waiting before me, and she started taking his order. I said I was next in line, but she ignored me. I eventually got to clarify the bill with her, after she had accused me of wasting her time given she had provided me with a discount. I was quite angry at this point, and told her that her behaviour was terrible and she had treated me with contempt. She just looked at me, full of 'attitude'. My wife and I are mild-mannered and respectful people, and to this day can't understand why I had been treated in this way. It's a shame, but the cafe has needlessly lost any chance of future business from us.

Refusing cash payments, card only. Not being told I can’t spend legal tender, I took my business just up the road where they were only too pleased to take my cash!

Had a cappuccino here and as always they make lovely coffee. Veronica made the coffee today and it was absolutely awesome with stretched milk and 'foam' to perfection?. For any fussy coffee lovers, this place is well worth a try!

On the last day of our holiday we made a trip here specially to have a cream tea in what used to be called the pixie house many years ago when i visited as a child. We arrived 4pm and i asked for 2 cream teas and was promptly told they dont serve them despite the reviews on here saying they did with pics from reviewers. Most annoyingThe young lad did say they may start doing them. I then asked if they knew of anywhere else in the village whom does them. The woman replied with an unfriendly tone stating that everyone except them did them. I turned away muttering how unhelpful that was. The NT cafe next door was closed and the next along didnt serve them. Boscastle is not cream tea friendly lol. We had ours in the riverside pub where we were told we'd have to sit outside as the bar was full and the top area was being prepared for evening diners. So we went outside in the rain but beneath a parasol and had to order it from "Kev" the touchscreen like macdonalds. Thankfully the cream tea itself was great and the waitress very jolly and welcoming

Came here for breakfast. It was very nice but I wish there had been a little more choice. Delicious coffee though and a very lovely spot for a cafe before a walk through Boscastle

Fabulous location right on the harbour. Staff were friendly too - menu is limited at first glance, but the food was lovely, and the coffee was one of the best I have had in ages. We visited twice and both times I had the frittata, which was totally divine!

The Good Stuff was the perfect place for a delicious lunch, accompanied by some top-notch coffee! the staff were delightful - kind, helpful and attentive - and the food was most certainly 'good stuff'! Our favourites were the salad (comes with amazing hummus) and the grilled cheese toastie with date ketchup. The desserts were super good, we especially loved the Millionaire's Shortbread, and the chocolate and sea salt cookies were freshly-baked and the perfect combination of soft, chewy and bendy. It is also located in such a gorgeous spot, at the end of the harbour and opposite the fascinating Witchcraft Museum. Couldn't recommend The Good Stuff more!

Had a lovely family visit to Boscastle and found this place by the National Trust shop. It is dog friendly and the young lady serving us was extremely polite. Limited menu which makes sense for the business but is a little restrictive. Lunches start at 12 noon and my Dad had to query why he couldn't order at 11.55am. He was then allowed to. My family had filled foccacia bread while I had a beautiful salad. Would definitely visit again.

Dropped in for lunch after a walk round Boscastle. Great choice of freshly prepared salads, croissants and sandwiches. The homemade focaccia was incredible. Would definitely recommend!

The Good Stuff is an independent cafe serving specialty coffee and seasonal food in Boscastle Harbour. They are also open on Friday and Saturday evenings for delicious small plates and natural wine. We stopped while walking the SW coast path just for tea and a bun, seats in and outside, WiFi and a loo.

Superb little place and friendly service. The menu only had 3 things on it and these are not really what people want visiting Boscastle, maybe in London yes, but not here. The canned drinks we had were awful too. This used to be the perfect little eating place, it is just so far off the mark now. Shame

Well, this is an odd review. The venue, location and look of the place is fab. The staff are friendly and the coffee okay. However the menu is so far off what the visitors really want I fail to understand the owners business plan. Yes, its good to try and move away from the typical 'tea shope' type offerings, but surely not that far?! The food is overpriced and not enjoyable. Sorry, but you need to provide cream teas, traditional cakes and toasties - this is where the profit is! Also, why not offer salads with decent additions such as quiche or homity pie? Its not mandatory to go down the Miss Marple vibe (although I do like it!), but you can still offer decent snacks and food. People leave London to experience West County food. We can eat mung beans and crunchy tenderstem in dreary old London!

Went sunday lunchtime and it was busy to be fair. We ate in and ordered a sandwich and a brownie and two cups of coffee. The food arrived after about 15mins which was good but it was revolting. The sandwich was so greasy it was running in grease and almost inedible. The brownie in contrast was so dry I thought about using it as a sponge to soak up the grease. The coffee was nice but it didn't arrive until 40 minutes after the food. This was probably because only one girl was making the drinks and only one at a time (while the other two watched). She constantly stopped for chats with the coworkers and it seemed that all takeaway drinks took priority over seated customers. This meant we just got pushed back each time and spent far too long taking up tables because we were all waiting so long for our drinks. if it hadnt all been so pricy we would have just left. A huge disappointment.
