10/10 coffee and lovely pastries

My friend and I stopped at this little gem for a bite to eat and were not disappointed. Being from Bude, we appreciated that the bread that went into the epic cheese toastie was from Electric Bakery - the best around ? My friend had a hearty bean stew which was also delicious. We had a glass of wine each which was crisp and fruity - they clearly know how to pick! The owner was chatty and lovely, as were all the other staff. The decor is just beautiful - such nice vibes with gorgeous plants and loads of light streaming in - definitely interior inspo for DIY at home! Some of the negative reviews about this place are truly pathetic - written by keyboard warriors with nothing better to do in thier lives than have a dig at a small business which has really lifted Boscastle's vibes. Don't listen to the naysayers - get yourself down to this gem of a place ?

We were touring the beautiful North Cornwall coast and dropped in at The Good Stuff cafe in Boscastle. A lovely old building located in an idyllic harbour, however it would transpire that our cream tea experience would be far from 'good stuff'. Our tea arrived at our outside table without scones, which we assumed would duly arrive in a moment. Ten minutes later, no scones, and we had in the meantime drunk the tea. A lady at the table next to us got up and said to us, 'I'm leaving, it's carnage in there.' The cafe was certainly very busy that day, and this upset customer's comment did not bode well for us. I went to the serving area, and asked when we might receive the scones. The manager said, 'Oh, I think they went to the wrong table.' The girls serving all nodded. No apology from anyone. The manager said they would put scones in the oven and we would receive them shortly. I then pointed out that while waiting we had drunk the tea. 'No problem, you can have more tea.' But we are tea'd out, and we would have preferred to have had the tea and scones together.' Still no apology, and I was made to feel that I was a trouble-maker. I bit my tongue, and returned to the table. The scones did eventually turn up this time, and they were quite nice although slightly burnt. Subsequently, I went to pay and was offered a discount, but still no apology. I paid, my wife and I vowing never to return, but on closer inspection of the receipt I couldn't make much sense of it. So I went back to the serving area to get it clarified, and waited patiently in the ordering queue. The manager studiously avoided eye contact with me. Eventually the person in front of me had completed their order. I was about to speak, then the manager brusquely informed me that the person behind me had been waiting before me, and she started taking his order. I said I was next in line, but she ignored me. I eventually got to clarify the bill with her, after she had accused me of wasting her time given she had provided me with a discount. I was quite angry at this point, and told her that her behaviour was terrible and she had treated me with contempt. She just looked at me, full of 'attitude'. My wife and I are mild-mannered and respectful people, and to this day can't understand why I had been treated in this way. It's a shame, but the cafe has needlessly lost any chance of future business from us.

Refusing cash payments, card only. Not being told I can’t spend legal tender, I took my business just up the road where they were only too pleased to take my cash!

Had a cappuccino here and as always they make lovely coffee. Veronica made the coffee today and it was absolutely awesome with stretched milk and 'foam' to perfection?. For any fussy coffee lovers, this place is well worth a try!

The place and service is nice, but the constant loud, bassy music is out of place in such a quiet harbour. Bad judgement, I think.

Came here for breakfast. It was very nice but I wish there had been a little more choice. Delicious coffee though and a very lovely spot for a cafe before a walk through Boscastle
