Just back from a long weekend with my husband and 4 month old baby. The caravan was modern and clean. The site is kept well and is spotless. The site is quiet but that suits us as there was only one other family in the pool ? perfect for a quieter holiday park and only a short drive to the beach. We loved it and will be back. Thank you all. Staff on reception and bar staff were friendly and informative.

Very warn welcome with a welcome drink waiting at check in. Very friendly and helpful staff with lots of information. The site is very well maintained very clean and well equipped. The restaurant and bar onsite is very well priced and the food was excellent. We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub the whole accommodation was spotless and very well equipped. The bus stop is just outside of the camp and it's £1.60 single to get into newquay. Had a really good break away

We had four lodges 3 st Austell 2 and one st Austell 3 we went as a family of 11 mixed ages and three dogs. We chose the site as it was quiet, but had lots of activities we could do together , ie bowling alleys, artery and lots for the children to do . Positives Vans were clean, well equipped Site was clean and very well maintained Negatives You are unable to use any facilities ie pool, sauna , as a couple or family if you have a dog as you can't leave them in the accommodation All activities apart from swimming Gym and sauna have an added cost. Bowling £2 , all childrens and family activities are charged this can vary between £6 to £15 a Session . So for example artery would have cost us £165 for an hour , if you have two children wishing to take part in a couple of activities a day you would need to budget for this Last orders at the bar was 9.15.dispite the weather being awful and the bar being full. On arrival the gentleman on reception man made each and everyone one of us feel very uncomfortable, we arrived separately on four cars at different times as we had to travel some distance. Our party booked directly with hoeseason and not with Darwin . Although we had four booking numbers we had not been allocated names against each number. He did not seem pleased in fact he wasn't, and didn't try to hide it . Summary If you are a couple or family and want to use the facilities and you don't have a dog, or a couple family who do have a dog and enjoy piece and quite and would use the site as a base to visit the beautiful surrounding towns this is ideal If you are a family with children , there are hidden costs you may want to take into consideration. Overall we were disappointed, it had not lived up to our expectation of being somewhere we could stay as a family and make memories doing things together.

Can’t recommend this park enough we had an amazing holiday first time on this site, staff were so welcoming and friendly, bucks fizz on arrival and treats for my puppy, lovley walks around the site, clean caravan mobile home, the staff were so freindly and helpful, activities were good and not far from Newquay, padstow, beaches, we can’t wait to return. Big shout out to Ralph in the reception area he was totally amazing and kind

Great location for exploring Cornwall, Great facilities at the park and staff were great. Restuatant is good and good quality. The only reason it's not a 5 star is the caravan was a bit tired however it was clean. We stayed in a Wadebridge 3. Other than that a great holiday was had.

We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. Answered any query that I had. There was plenty of kids activities to choose from and all very reasonably priced. The site was well kept and clean, it didn't have any entertainment but it didn't matter to us. Piran meadows is very dog friendly too. The pool and spa was great, the gym is for over 16s only as long as they are accompanied by an adult much to my sons disappointment. I guess that is perhaps for insurance purposes. He is nesrly 15 and into his fitness. The accommodation was beautiful, we stayed in a St Austell caravan and it was spotless, well maintained and had everything we needed. One thing that my ocd couldn't handle is the picture on the wall by the pool table being the wrong way around. It was portrait instead of landscape, haha. All in all I would highly recommend Piran meadows and perhaps next time I will treat ourselves to a caravan with a hot tub. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. I'd recommend it to families who want site that is quieter than a Haven or Parkdean (for example) but that still has some facilities for children. If you're looking for evening entertainment, kids shows etc, it hasn't got anything like that. It has got a pool (no slides etc), 2 bowling lanes, a small soft play for younger children, small outdoor play area, splash pad, bar and restaurant. There are also bookable activities for kids that look reasonably priced (£5-8 ish.) The whole site is clean and well-kept and the staff were good. It's a lovely setting with nice countryside views and green space where we flew our kite. The onsite shop is really just a few shelves and a fridge at the side of reception so don't arrive expecting to be able to do your shopping there. We booked a Tesco delivery who came right to our caravan so I'd recommend this but there are supermarkets around. Location-wise, the site has pros and cons. You get to it from a busy main road and there's not really a village or anything in walking distance if you like to go out walking or to find a local pub to walk to. As long as you're happy to drive around each day, it's a really good location. Loads of beaches, tourist areas and different attractions within 15-30 minutes. We didn't have great weather but went into Newquay and to quite a few of its beaches, including Fistral and Lusty Glaze. Also went to Padstow, Port Isaac and a few local pub/restaurants-Ring O'Bells and The Two Clomes were both lovely. There's quite a few things for Kids like Newquay Zoo and Camel Creek nearby that we didn't get to due to the rain. We couldn't really fault the caravan itself. We stayed in a Wadebridge 2. It was nice and clean, pretty spacious with bathroom and ensuite and walk in wardrobe. There was a dishwasher but no washing machine, which I'd have quite liked but wouldn't really expect either.

Great welcome, dog friendly, nice van with an outdoor deck, and good facilities. The majority of the staff were super-friendly, and it was a quiet location just a 15 minute drive to the Newquay beaches. The site is well kept. So all the things that you would expect from a 5* site. HOWEVER - the facilities are not always available, and on a short Mon-Fri break this was a bit frustrating. - The restaurant is closed Mon / Tue, which means that if you are staying there Mon-Fri you can't have a meal on arrival, and not the next day either. (Note - there is a good fish and chip shop at a nearby campsite). - the bar closes quite early - the pool is not always open as it closes for activities / events - the steam and sauna rooms are not always available as they close when there are activities in the pool. - we couldn't use the sauna on either the Weds or Thurs as they closed earlier than advertised . We went over on Wednesday at 5.30 and it was all closed up. The same happened on Thursday - the pool was advertised as being open until 8pm on the Thursday, but an additional pool party was put on at 5pm (people paid extra for this) and so the sauna was closed early. We had just come back from an afternoon bodyboarding and were looking forward to a shower and sauna, thinking that it would be open until 8pm. We went over at 5.30pm and were told by a member of staff that we couldn't use it as it was now closed, even though we pointed out that it should be open, and was only closed because they had added in an extra pool party. So this meant it closed 3 hours early - at 5pm rather than 8pm. I don't think it's fair to advertise facilities, then when you get there they are not available to use - this needs to be made clear on the Hoseasons website before booking as we specifically wanted a pool and sauna and would have gone elsewhere had we known that we couldn't use them. The weather wasn't great that week, so the restrictions on the facilities were a bit frustrating. It's a shame as the overall site is lovely, well kept and quiet, so otherwise perfect for a relaxing break.

A great site with wonderful facilities for families! Especially on a rainy day (of which there were many unfortunately) we had a lovely selection of activities to do including bowling on site, swimming pool parties, a small arcade, DVD rental for the caravan in the evening and lots of great indoor activities for the kids. The caravan we had was well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. My only criticism is that the restaurant onsite is closed Mondays and Tuesday and as we arrived on a Monday early evening after a long 8 hour drive, the last thing I wanted to do was to shop and cook so having the restaurant open for us to go for a meal on our arrival would have been perfect but otherwise, a great stay!

Here on our second stay, everything is lovely again. We tried the bistro tonight and the food is lovely and fresh and reasonably priced too. This site has everything and great location too ☺️ The kids absolutely love it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Piran Meadows despite a really mixed bag of weather meaning we couldn’t enjoy the deck or outdoor seating as much as we had hoped. The arrival started well with a phone call a couple of hours before check in letting us know our caravan was ready , there was welcome drinks and sweets for the kids on arrival and the reception staff were all very friendly. Our caravan was van number 1 and was a Falmouth style van but a slightly different layout to those advertised as it had 2 showers instead of 1 shower and a bath . The van was clean, the beds and sofas were comfortable and the showers were nice and high pressure. I think the van is probably one of the older ones on the estate and there were some old stains on carpets but the van felt and smelled clean. We had a couple of maintenance issues with a dripping tap and a broken extractor fan which we flagged at reception on the first morning and were resolved by maintenance that day. The pool was good but often was very busy and we enjoyed the bowling , the food in the restaurant was ok but not amazing and portions were perhaps too generous. The one thing that was difficult was drying the towels and it would have been nice to have had more than one per person per week , I would have been more than happy to pay for a towel change but this was not an option and perhaps could be considered in the future . We would definitely stay again

We stayed in a caravan as a family of 5 for a week and found the accommodation had everything we needed. The beds were comfy although the singles were a little on the small side as advised when booking. The caravan seemed clean on arrival although there was a faint dog smell which persisted throughout our stay but didn’t bother us too much. The facilities on the site were great and all areas seemed well staffed which was good. We used the swimming pool most days which had a 1.4m main pool and 0.5m baby pool which were perfect for our kids. Numbers were controlled at peak times using a wrist band system so it never got too full. Our kids loved the soft play area which is perfect for under 5s and included a projector playing CBeebies all day for the kids to watch when they are having some time out. The bowling was really fun & the arcade was small but had something for everyone including air hockey, car racing and guitar hero. My one gripe is the price of soft drinks with a bottle of Fanta coating £3.20 at the bar which I felt was a bit steep for pop. The location was great too with the beaches of Newquay only a few miles down the road and a few supermarkets a similar distance away. The site is also just a few miles off the A30 which is the main road through Cornwall making other towns & villages easy to reach. All in all we had a good time, would recommend the resort and would stay again.

The site was lovely and a great welcome with a fresh orange juice. Staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we wanted. Wadebridge 3 was clean and comfortable but the twin rooms were very small and more suitable for children or teenagers. But beds were comfy. On site gym was good but only 3 allowed at a time but I always got in when I wanted in the morning. Swimming pool clean and airy and changing room with spa suite excellent. Lots of good eating places at White Cross 10 mins by car. Recommend the Ring of Bells unbelievable Sunday roast. Holiday very good with Newquay very near and lots to do nearby.

Before we even arrived they called us to tell us that we could check in early. On arrival there was a selection of drinks for everyone and sweets for the children. All the staff we encountered we really friendly and accommodating. When we arrived in our accommodation it was spotless with no faults. It felt to us like a real home from home. They had everything we needed like a hairdryer and hover. The beds are pillows made for a good night sleep for us all. They had great activities for everyone including bowling, a swimming pool and a small soft play for the younger ones. They also had a games room which made it suitable for all ages. All in all we would definitely go back and would highly recommend them to any who ask.

Our experience echoes that of another recent review. We spent a week in a Wadebridge premium with hot tub. What went well: - we were called just after 3 to tell us our accommodation was ready ahead of the 4pm check in time - we were greeted in reception by very friendly staff for check-in, lots of info given and offered a Buck’s Fizz/apple juice - reception, bar, restaurant areas were all very pleasant and clean - hot tub was ready and at temperature - accommodation was spacious and had majority of gadgets etc - location was good for getting to lots of attractions - food in restaurant was tasty - terrace area had nice furniture and lovely views - accommodation had spacious plot and west facing decking What wasn’t so good: - everything felt grubby! Accommodation needs a deep clean! Carpet was stained, wallpaper stained, shower had mould, outside decking was dirty- lots of flies and ants nest under hot tub, fittings rusty, this certainly didn’t feel like premium accommodation - on emptying the kitchen bin we found rubbish left from previous occupant under black bin liner, on last day I checked under bed to find empty crisp packet and used plaster. - restaurant was short staffed and only selling very restricted menu - we appeared to have one of very few shared parking bays, my car was scratched quite badly
