When a crab sandwich at £13 cones on sliced bread, there’s something wrong. I ate here a few years ago and have good memories. Sadly today was poor. The menu has plenty on it and we opted for the crab on white. Plenty of crab meat does not make up for soggy sliced white bread. Staff were friendly and service good, though the woodwork on banisters and tables felt sticky to the touch. Maybe this is the proximity of the sea, but it’s a shame. Could be so much better.

Poor service , awful attitude from the older staff .

Very rude woman assuming owner, we left due to poor service. Place over priced, not much selection on menu and very dated and run down, tables could do with a wipe down. Much better places to go with nicer

We decided to eat lunch here as they advertised locally made pasties. Having checked with the young man behind the counter that the cafe is dog- friendly, we placed our order. After a protracted wait, the pasties were served with a “salad garnish”,this comprised approximately one dessert spoonful of leaves with a French dressing….it was quite tasty. The pasties were obviously bought in ready cooked, then re-heated when required, this process leads to them becoming dry throughout, both the pastry and filling were overcooked and not very pleasant, add to this the price (£7.95) we did not consider them anything like good value. Sorry to say this establishment has gone on the list of those to be avoided on future holidays!

The atmosphere is fine..but bit noisy because it is very closer to the road.the staff is friendly. Also they are giving the very big portion of food. However, the cream tea option is not good as i expected because it didn't taste that much. The sandwiches are fine.

Me and my husband came into the cafe on Mon 4th September we ordered 2 pastys 1 cornish and 1 chese &onion we were so looking forward to these as we're hungry after visiting st michaels mount.we waiting aside for about 15 minutes for them which was fine then walked down to the beach to eat them..my husbands which was the cornish pasty was lovely and he only had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down and eat.mine on the other hand the cheese & onion one was so hot I had to wait at 10 minutes to eat it but when I did it was so overcooked I tied to eat a few bites and it actually tasted of nothing and definitely not cheese and most of the inside was missing due to being overcooked also the pasty awful..I asked my husband to try it and he spat it out..we then opened the pie and and it was horrendous and wasn't fit for consumption..I took it back to the shop and showed the young lad discreetly as not to embarrass the cafe as these things do happen especially as my husbands was lovely and just asked if I could have a please have a replacement and i showed him the Burnt pasty..he said of course and disappeared out the back..to then come back and say we can't give you a replacement and I would have to pay for a new one as I'd eaten half the pasty to which I explained I'd had 2 bites my husband one and we broke some off opening it to look inside..I explain to him that it was burnt and he should not sell food like that to the public and as I work in customer service I would have definitely given the customer another one..he still replied no and got very rude to me and was smirking to the lad working with him..I left the cafe very upset as I have been coming to Cornwall for years and I have never been treated or spoken like that before as everyone is Cornwall are friendly and polite ..I don't the boys name but he was young with ginger hair and I would definitely not want him working for my company with the soft of attitude and rudeness

Very friendly service for the two young men behind the counter and lovely Sandwiches. Situated in good area, with good views of St Michael’s Mount.

Whilst holidaying in Lands End this past week, my wife & I visited the Chapel Rock in the afternoon of the 3rd September and dined upstairs, both enjoying a very tasty portion of fish & chips. Service was also very good and we were prepared to recommend to friends. However we returned again on the 6th at 4pm and asked for a table for two if available upstairs again. The young man told us that the upstairs was closed with no explanation so we asked if a table downstairs was available which looked like there was but was told that there was not for the moment and they would stop serving indoors shortly. Subsequently he told us that they would only be offering take away service. Baring in mind they didn't close until 6pm I was surprised to hear this but as it was a nice afternoon we accepted a take out meal. We were not impressed with the young man's manner and for not providing an explanation for not accepting further customers at such a time during the afternoon. Hence, based on the two visits this is why I have given an average score and not a very good score as would of been the case based on the first visit.

Popped in for lunch with my mum and daughter after swimming. It was delicious! Loaded crab fries - incredible, could eat them all over again, and again, and again! The staff are super friendly and offered to help me in with the pushchair, nothing was too much trouble. Coffee was good also. Friendly chilled atmosphere with a view of the sea :)

Lovely spot with good capacity and good range of snacks and light bites. The kids enjoyed an ice cream and the coffee was good. Lovely view of st Michael's mount too.

I recently dined at Chapel Rock Cafe and ordered 3 sandwiches, 3 drinks, and a kids meal. The total cost was £32, which I found a tad high. However, the quality of the sandwiches was impressive and made up for it. I did encounter a small hiccup when I asked for two 'just cheese' sandwiches, as the staff had to check. But apart from that, the food was excellent and enjoyable.Vegetarian options: Struggled to supply a ‘Just Cheese’ sandwich.

We went for lunch, ordered fish and chips and ordered pasty to take-away in advance to save time as we were in rush. However, we were told that only after paying for lunch, they could put pasty in oven!! We were eating lunch, hence, no one is going to run away without paying. I ate quickly and paid for lunch + pasty and asked me to go outside and wait for it while my family is still upstairs, not finished yet. I was told that it is different price for eat-in and take-away!! Ridiculous, I cannot eat pasty anymore after fish & chip. DO NOT BOTHER - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRICY AND NOT VERY GOOD FOODS EITHER. There are plenty of restuarants at town-center/ near train- station, right on the beach.
