Called in for our tea whilst staying in Fowey. All fish cooked freshly and were just perfectly battered. Chips were great and enjoyed by all. Great value and such friendly staff. I would recommend a visit.

Im disappointed to have to write this review. This place used to be great. Top quality fish and chips always fresh you had to wait for a bit but was well worth it. It has now unfortunately gone way way down hill. Had large cod and chips phoned it through to get the wait down a bit. The cod had been left in hot display for far too long and was rock hard underneath the chips tasted like the oil had not been changed. Avoid if you can there are better places within 10-15 mins. To the manager get this sorted get back to how you used to be.

Ordered haddock and chips, asked for very crispy batter but when arrived home (5mins in the car) opened them up to find the batter so soggy it stuck to the chips. When I rang to complain I was told I should buy it and eat it in the car if I didn’t want it to go soggy and he didn’t have time for my petty complaints

Weave been here a couple of times now and every time the food has been outstanding, the service exemplary and on the whole the whole experience was absolutely amazing. We will be definitely coming here again and I'd recommend this place to everybody as a quality is exemplary.
Had a large cod, large chips and a curry sauce and can safely say there was nothing large about it. Thought my partner had come back with the wrong order/half of it missing. Very poor sizing. Cod was lovely lightly battered and curry sauce was ok. But the chips were so undercooked had to throw half of them away. Very disappointing. Such a shame as it’s our local chippy, just means we will have to travel abit further to get a better meal. Sorry Vals we won’t be back.

We placed a large order so rang ahead of time and the order was perfectly executed! The staff were very friendly. The food was great and the portion sizes generous. It is so close to the beach that eating on the beach is totally do-able. Highly recommend!
