We saw the sign on our way through Cornwall and wanted a cream tea - a hidden gem of a place. All homemade, very tasty and friendly staff. I would stop again but need room for it to got.

Popped in for a coffee after shopping, as we have always seen it advertised on the side of the road. Nice enough staff, not great guidance if you haven’t visited before though. We sat upstairs, was clean and nice decor. But very sterile, no music which gave the place no soul. The only noise is from the cars outside which was abit off putting so music may have made it better. For some reason some weird fryers or something wrapped up and on show upstairs, not sure if they are re decorating at the moment but was odd. Coffee was lovely but extremely overpriced at £3 for a cup. Cake was super dry so I’m guessing it’s been left out all day (not under a cover either?) Definitely won’t be back anytime soon, such a shame as it looked nice and staff where pleasant.

Popped in as the bakery was just across the road from our campsite! We thought great that's handy for picnics. Unfortunately the food was not up to the reviews and sandwiches and pies were overpriced. we would not return.

Would definitely recommend!! Called in advance to enquire about disabled access and lifts as we were visiting with my elderly grandmother and the staff could not be more helpful. Incredibly kind and welcoming as well as gorgeous coffee and cakes. Definitely recommend the mango smoothie!

Went to Yummy Scrummy for lunch and had amazing sandwiches. Staff are very nice. We had milkshakes and thought £3.95 was a bit pricey for the size but wouldn't stop us going back for a sandwich.

Visited whilst getting my car serviced at a local garage. The place was very quiet, in fact I was the only customer there when I arrived. I ordered the full breakfast and a pot of tea. It was nice to be offered an alternative to something that I didnt want. The food was well cooked and good quality however it was expensive at well over £10 with the tea. If you are willing to pay for it this is a good breakfast.

Picked up some food to take out. Was a little chaotic ordering and waiting for the food, and definitely expensive. Food was freshly made and tasty. Would consider visiting again in the future but perhaps only as a rare treat.

Great location and parking, just a minute off the A30. Gorgeous sandwiches made from great quality bread with tasty fillings. Will be back to try the breakfasts. Friendly, efficient service.

We met a few friends here to give it a try, having seen it as we were travelling up and down the a30 recently. There was a fab selection of cakes and drinks to choose from. The staff were welcoming and friendly and our orders arrived correctly. It’s not the cheapest place around but the quality of the offerings make it worth the investment. Plenty of parking and convenient location round out the package. My only complaint would be the lack of toilets; there is just a single male toilet and a combined ladies/disabled/baby change station. So there can be quite a wait.

I am all for restaurants positioning themselves as ‘quality’ and indicating this through high prices. This is only justified and sustainable if the quality of the offering matches the high prices. In other words value for money. Today I paid 15.50 for two cappuccinos, a sausage sandwich and a lemon tart. None of his was VFM as the sandwich was granary doorstop slices with, hidden inside three small chipolata sausages dwarfed by the bread. My partners lemon tart had soft soggy pastry with a dry stolid consistency, no moisture. Nondescript coffee completed the offering. Oh and we hadto wait 15 minutes until it arrived. First time here and will be our last. Go elswhere.

From pre-booking a table for a party of 10, the communication by email was excellent, the option of pre-ordering appreciated and the service very good. Our 10 breakfasts arrived at the same time enabling us all to eat together. The service and food were very good and the modern vibe suited our party of young adults. Would definitely recommend it and look forward to coming again.

Lovely all day breakfast would defo recommend. The place is easy to find easy parking and it also has a lift. I'm on oxygen so the lift is a bonus!! There was plenty on the breakfast and the doorstep toast was lush. I wouldn't hesitate to take anyone there..... well done

Called for a lunch snack at around 2:30 on a Saturday, Long ques to order, and mainly down to just one person at the till taking orders. It soon became evident that each person ordering had to wait for the staff member to work out how to process the order and then write everything down in long hand, even though there was a printout machine in operation. Originally the plan was to order some food to take and sit down, however this was downgraded to 2 takeaway hot coffees and two hot sausage rolls, after a considerable time of waiting plus some more waiting with a number of staff behind the counter just walking backwards and forwards with no actual plan or aim we then managed to place an order. Once the order was placed we then had to wait whilst it was prepared and finally after 35 minutes we collected 2 warm coffees and 2 cold sausage rolls. It seemed that the bill was quite high and on close inspection we had been charged for salads? and A sitdown meal to go with our cold Sausage rolls! We then had to wait so that we could get back to the server behind the counter who studied at length the invoice and then needed help in working out how to take off the salads and the premium for eating inside and at no time were the words, sorry heard. We eventually escaped with cold coffee and two cold sausage rolls but at least we had had chance to witness fresh cakes being cut with the same knife that had been used on savoury items and all manner of food prep behind the counter. In our opinion there has been no training and they are not ready for any volume of custom and the associated risks posed by incorrect use of food utensils.
