We always look forward to visiting this fabulous chippy, all the way from America it’s our favorite British tradition! The fish is always piping hot and fresh, the portions are HUGE (way too big even with American standards haha)All the usual chip shop staples to eat in or take away along with friendly staff. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Separate options for fried products (not in beef dripping) clearly labeled vegetarian on menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Separate entrance

This is a lovely fish and chip shop, with a traditional style. Will certainly be going back.

Prices up again, standard falling. Chips were cold and almost inedible, far to many.Sorry to say what used to be number one has sadly dropped way down.I had takeaway and live five minutes away.

Drove here when Google said it was open and unfortunately it was shut with no real

Order online, collect in the shop. Wait is usually only a couple of minutes to pack the food. Always good.

Picked up takeaway fish & chips on Friday 15 December at 17.46 when they were busy. £19.00 for 2 standard cod & one standard portion of chips, fish was in soggy batter & chips must have been cooked for some time as they were not very hot and again very soggy. A very expensive waste of money.

Lovely food but a little pricey and the fish is getting smaller each time

Possibly the worst takeaway fish I have ever had. See attached picture of my £8 cod. No, it wasn’t a child’s portion. Used to be a top fish and chip restaurant. Certainly declined in the last few years. Today the fish was inedible. Small, overcooked and dry. Keeping giving the benefit of the doubt. We can all have off days. We won’t be doing it again. Will not be returning in the future.

Came past this gem had myself fish and chips definitely return

Disappointing, given how good it used to be. Both the fish and the chips were not really that good - soggy and not fresh. And the claims on the website about sustainability were not backed up when we got there.

Spontaneous visit based on what fish and chip takeaways were in the area we were staying and on reviews. Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. Great taste, great quality, generous and very fresh. Well done on your great standards. Very very impressed customer!

We called in last night for a early supper with the kids. The portion size was good even the smaller plates were more than enough. The additional side in the meal deal was a great idea...The restaurant was quiet mid week, speaking with the server, she said this normal and with the heavy rain last night I can understand probably less than normal came in.Staff were great and friendly, little more knowledge training about the menu would help ?.

Had an excellent takeaway from here. Delicious perfectly cooked chips, huge onion rings, tried a mushy pea fritter also which was fab. Great customer service. Highly

Used to live in the area 3 years ago and it used to be the best chipshop around ! Visited it this week and was really disappointed how down hill it had gone ! Couldn't belive it cost £16.50 for a portion of fish and chips so for 2 of us having fish and chips and a drink each it came to just under £40 !! Tip of the day take the food away dont eat in!!
