Cosy bar with open fire serving good bar food. Also good accomodation - pleasant, comfortable rooms, reasonably priced and friendly, cheerful staff. What's not to like!

We went here for some drinks on new year's. The staff were amazing, it was a busy night but the staff were on top of everything. We did not eat a meal but did have some chips which are the best chips in the South West. The food from the restaurant did smell spectacular and was very busy so clearly a popular place to eatParking: There is a car park within a 2 min walk which is very reasonably priced. The roads are narrow but is well worth it. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach as well.Kid-friendliness: Were very accommodating to the four children we had with us (8 - 12)Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room inside and has a downstairs toilet

During the quieter months of the year, Cawsand and Kingsand are our ‘go to’ seaside villages to visit for dog walks and a spot of lunch. Having read very good things about the refurbished Cross Keys Inn we decided to try it for lunch on a Friday in January. I booked a table for three in advance - as we would be bringing three dogs with us - and was impressed immediately with the friendliness and helpfulness of the person I spoke to on the phone. When we arrived, our window table in the bar area had been laid for us, with menus in place and lots of space available for our dogs. Sienna, our waitress, gave us a very warm welcome and immediately brought water and glasses to the table - a little thing but for me, the mark of a good establishment. Bar drinks also arrived very promptly. As two of us follow a GF diet, we were very impressed with the options available on the menu - all of which sounded delicious. In the end we all chose fish and chips and were very glad we did as they were delicious, especially with the minted mushy peas, tartare sauce and curry sauce accompaniments. Portion sizes were also very generous! Another point in the Cross Keys’ favour was how immaculately clean the toilet facilities were - very impressed. We will most definitely be returning as we felt the whole experience represented excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

Called to fix a Griddle in kitchen which was spotless as was all of the kitchen and very well organised, chefs were very friendly as were all the staff I met , The chef made me lunch from the menu which was a chicken burger with homemade fries and coleslaw which was phenomenal and very very good , would love to go back with the family very soon , A truly proper British Gem

I visited the cross keys with mum just before christmas. We were greeted by the friendly Beth, she made us feel very welcome and was very attentive. We had the christmas menu which was absolutely delicious, we both had the duck to start which had lovely flavours, the roast turkey was the best roast i’ve ever had! finally we had the cheese board and baileys and praline roulade which were both beautifully presented and very generous portion sizes. safe to say we will both be coming back to try more of their food

Very disappointing food all round. But being served burnt chips (see below) and told they have been like that all week and it’s the potato’s is laughable ! Really want this place to work as a Good place to eat in Cawsand but sadly it is not right now !

Me and my partner went for a 3 course meal from the Christmas menu here and have to say it was absolutely delicious! We were firstly impressed with the warm inviting atmosphere from moment we walked in, and the tables all set out with crackers and candles. A real effort was made to make the meal out even more enjoyable. The service from the bar staff and waiters was also inviting and very friendly. The meals were top tier and great portions, you definitely get your moneys worth! Also my girlfriend is celiac and is therefore gluten free and the chef’s and waiters were very accommodating to this and was nice to see that this was taken seriously by people who worked there. Plenty of gf opinions on the menu. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family as I can guarantee they will be very satisfied with the food, service, atmosphere and prices. Thank you!

My partner and I had dinner here and will definitely return as the food and service was spectacular. We both had the scallops to start, which were fabulous. For our main I had the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly and the trimmings accompanied the dish so well. My partner had the bass and she loved every bit of it. The portions are very generous but it doesn’t take away from the quality of the fresh ingredients and how they’re cooked. We managed to squeeze in a dessert too. I had the espresso chocolate cheesecake. It was rich and chocolatey with a hint of espresso, beautiful. My partner had a selection of fresh, local ice creams which she said were lovely.
