Great chippy, the customer service experience is brilliant. The mix of the traditional chippy coupled to electronic displays of cooking / waiting times is very slick and well executed.Food wise, portion sizes are good, my cod was cooked to perfection, extras like Mushy peas, curry sauce etc are available. The batter used is very light (maybe too light for me), again frying time for this was bang on.If you've been to the Arnside Chippy, you know it's good. If you're a first timer, pay it a visit, you'll have no reason to regret it.

The sign says " This isn't Burger King, you have it our way or not at all" and their way is very traditional and pretty good. Crispy big haddock (although cod is available) and chunky chips freshly cooked, not the best mushies, but very acceptable. Online ordering system works well, but priority is given to just walk in customers. Watch out for those opening hours, but Haddock and Chips on the pier at Arnside is an essential experience.Parking: It can be difficult to park, but the on street parking or the "beach" car park normally offers a space...

Excellent fish and chips, lovely helpful staff, very popular place, can be ordered online and have them delivered locally. Would advice ordering as there was a 40 minute wait. Will be back!

I had an unpleasant experience at this fish and chip shop. We weren't aware they had finished serving lunch. There were confusing signs in the front about a restaurant section closed since covid. We obviously hadn't read the opening hours correctly (our fault entirely) but when we tried the door, we were treated rather rudely by the staff who shouted that the shop was closed and to read the signs! Needless to say, we weren't tempted to go back to sample the fare after being treated with such contempt.
