I ordered egg and watercress sandwich. It arrived without any watercress and when prompted about that there should be watercress received brusque response oh we haven't got any.My mum ordered lentil and vegetable soup which was distinctly sweet and not very pleasant so uneaten and vaguely passable quiche with salad garnish which would have been better without with the brown gloop adornment

Have visited many times, on this occasion it was very disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning due to poor service and an uninspiring and poor quality meal.

We called in for a late lunch only to be inundated with 100s of motorbikes. The coffee was lukewarm, the bacon was obviously reheated. How disappointing. Very expensive. Won't be going again !

Had a great lunch here, all the food was excellent, my wife had the quiche and salad, all fresh and tasty, and I had the best steak pie I can remember since my mum's from fifty years ago. The steak was plentiful, tender and juicy accompanied by great chips, healthy and tasty veg, and great gravy. We alll had orange juice freshly made while we watched. We followed it with huge ice cream cones which were almost like two scopes rather than one. Service was both friendly and prompt. As well as the quality of the food, it's also in a great spot. We all really enjoyed it and I look forward to coming back to have their full English breakfast!

We've been twice and had 2 very different experiences. First time it was faultless, but on the second visit the poached eggs were awful. Literally three people in our party all ordered poached eggs on toast and only 1 of the 6 eggs were acceptable. They also came seasoned, but as we dont all like salt and black pepper, some of the eggs were left. My daughter, literally had 2 egg yolks and no egg white whatsoever. They should never have served them!Despite the good first visit, the great location and it being dog friendly we won't be returning as we're not prepared to gamble when we're paying £10 for eggs, toast and a hot drink

We won't be coming back. Ordered two meals and waited about 40 minutes - and the food arrived only moderately hot. Waitress actually PUT HER THUMB in the sauce when bringing the food (the plate was quite small, but the portions were not generous). I have to say, I have never seen that in many years of eating out! The food was disappointing, not filling and expensive given the lack of finesse. We tried three pepper pots but none had any pepper in them. I have concerns about the food hygiene practices. The food was mediocre. It was a great disappointment.

Afternoon tea was good but would of preffered to chose sandwich fillings ourselves as we did not like some so did think the price did not justify what we ateParking: Lots of spaces

I've visited the tearoom over many years. The food and drinks are fine, staff friendly, but, service can be very slow. So much time is wasted queueing to place an order, leaving friends sitting waiting. I appreciate prices have risen everywhere, but... £7 for a bowl of vegetable soup?!
