Whilst this pub doesn't stand out from the outside, it's food and service certainly does. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the food as absolutely delicious. The staff were absolutely delightful and were brilliant with out children (aged 11 & 15). Would absolutely recommend.

5 of us thought we would book a table for a meal.3 of us ordered half Cumberland sausage half gammon. The gammon was more like a bacon chop. Nothing but fat and what meat was edible was so,so salty. Rubbish.I did complain but it fell on dear ears. It isn't the first time we've complained at this venue, we had Sunday lunch previously and complained about the veg being cold. Other people complained on the same day. We have given this place a chance, but no more. Will definitely not be back. It is not cheap either infact very expensive for the lack of quality food.......

Popped in for a couple of ciders and food as doing the Coast to Coast ! The lady behind the bar was lovely and friendly ! Made me very welcome ! I ordered chicken fajitas ! They were amazing and they came with a huge bowl of chips which were also lovely ! I couldn’t finish it all as I have a small appetite so they parcelled it up for me to take away and then they ordered me a taxi ! Thank you - brilliant hospitality ?

Classic British pub with lovable staff and a warm ambience. The pub serves real ales from the local area as well many wines and spirits. Quiz and other themed nights are enacted frequently. On a Sunday afternoon a traditional three course meal is served as well as a vegetarian option if required. The pub has numerous screens displaying the latest sporting events. It also promotes hobbies by allowing customers the use of a dart board; which the pubs own team regularly use. It also boasts outside simmer seating as well as a conservatory which is used for guests who purchase meals. A brilliant venue!!
