Very friendly, had a 3yr old with us and staff were lovely. Games to play on hand if you fancy an evening of family fun too. Food excellent, cost reasonable. Will definitely go back.Parking: Car park just around the corner. Possibly free parking nearby if you are staying there.

Fabulous pub, had some lovely meals here in the past and always stop here for a pint at the end of a long walk.Update: had the Sunday roast (Lamb) today. It was a perfect meal, every mouthful was a delight. The staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Lovely pub, building of huge character and importance to us. We have spent some special wedding anniversaries there. My husband was a little disappointed no one recognised or remembered us! Main issue seemed to be central booking as we ended up with a twin room and not a double, booking lady possibly needed to be clearer. Food was delicious, right up our street. Highly recommend (if you don't mind a sloping floor or two).
