Holidaying locally and after a bit of research decided we’d pop in for Sunday lunch. Carvery was amazing, 3 big, thick slices of meat with lots of fresh veg! Also the option to add pie, sausages and chicken in gravy. 5 types of potatoes and a great selection of veggies. Atmosphere was great too, staff very friendly. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Well, it's worth a visit fresh carvery on a Sunday 12 until 3. Might have to wait for a table, downstairs dog friendly and outside.

Called in yesterday for lunch as a table of four plus our 3 month old granddaughter. Our first visit, but it won't be our last as the food, service and staff were excellent. A good menu with ample portions. Highly recommended ?

Best carvery I've had. Friendly staff. Pub a bit dated inside but I like it that way. Will definitely go back again.

Typical harbour with a fine reputation for homemade food. Selection of wines and beers including real ales. We've been going to The Lifeboat for many years.Only downside is Parking which means walking up a short but steepish bank.Recommend booking in evening..Dietary restrictions: Limited menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult access as narrow entrance and limited room in bar for wheelchairs.

Really friendly pub and the food was the best pub grub we've had in a while. Superb salad with loads of cold meats and my husband had scampi and said the chips were the best he'd had in ages
