Absolutely fantastic couple of hours spent here last Saturday. Very small, only 4 tables. Lots of people use it as a takeaway. I can see why it is incredibly busy. We ordered poppadum's and chutney, had a starter each and then a main course. Portions were more than ample. One of their chutneys was incredible, in the fact that I had never had it before, the other three were excellent also. Food was extremely tasty. Shami kebabs were mildly spiced and very juicy. Chicken tikka in the Balti was very tasty. My husband had a Madras and whilst he said it wasn't the hottest one he had had it certainly was the tastiest. You can request to have the dishes made hotter if you wish. I have to mention the staff though. Two guys front of house, I don't know one of their names but Riyad, well he was attentive, chatty, funny, hardworking, There is no frills but It was so comfortable, like eating a curry in someone's front room. Excellent meal served by very attentive gentlemen at an excellent price. What are you waiting for? Book if you want to go though so not to disappoint. They serve non alcoholic drinks including Cobra, but no alcohol. Saying that they are happy for you to take it with you and offer you glasses. This was our first visit to this curry house but it certainly wont be our last

Delicious food. Lovely atmosphere in a small venue. Very friendly staff. Bring your own alcohol which is a bonus . Very good evening with friends. The only criticism I could have is to upgrade the toilets?

Said we would try again after our last review in 2020. It was better and some of the food was really good. Starters were excellent and nice side. Mains were still a bit oily and this was our main criticism last time. A worthy effort and great service from the staff so will come back

Our telephone booking was easy, friendly and reassuring in respect of gluten free options. The staff were super friendly and attentive throughout. Our party of 4 included 2 looking for spicy hot flavours and 2 looking for milder flavours (with lots of gluten free options) - the advice and flexibility was outstanding. Every dish was delicious, the staff were engaging and good fun, whilst the bring your own drink option makes it excellent vfm! We can’t wait to go back!

We have just been to number 3 curry house tonight . We asked for reccomendations as we prefer to do this when trying new Indians . As each restaurant cooks everything differently . From what we described we usually like . Riad , I think the young man’s name was reccomended 2 beautiful dishes to me and my partner . One was the naga tikka we had this cooked medium . This one was our favourite and we have never had a curry like it . We would highly reccomend this dish . The second dish was hari Massala this again was cooked to perfection and both dishes tasted totally different to each other . The Peshwari nan was perfectly cooked too . I would reccomend this Indian, we had one in our local village where we are staying but from the others reviews we chose to drive 20 minutes away to this one and it was definitely worth the short drive . We ate in . The young guy was really friendly and chatty and gave it a nice personal feel . We will definitely be back next time we are in or around the area . Thanks again Leona and Luke

We were looking for a place to eat when we were staying in Milnthorpe recently and decided on this curry house based on the 5star reviews it had received and we were not disappointed one bit. From the service with friendly attentive staff to the delicious food, it was top notch and we will definitely return. If you’ve not been before you are in for an absolute treat I can highly recommend.

I havent eaten in but use the place regularly for a takeaway. Top notch Madras every time! I need to explore some other curries but the Madras is just so good!

We were lucky and got a table for 2 pax.Best papadums with the most delicious condimentsOnion Baji fantastic and recommend with the red sauce that comes with the papadumsLamb Byriani - probably the best price value we ever had and absolutely deliciousLamb Rogan Josh could have had more kick to it but super fresh and deliciousGood to know that the chilies in the menu are actually English rating and not Indian. So next time I will definitely go for the 3 chilies.Portions are huge so recommendable to come in a small group and share.Will definitely want to go again during our stay as we agree with other reviewers that this probably was the best Indian in a long time!! One of the best Biriyani's I've had! Price, quality and quantity was awesome. Not greasy and really tasty! Riyad was the star running the show, got super busy with orders and takeaways but was great along with all his colleagues
This by far was our favourite meal in Cumbria. The food and staff were outstanding so we would recommend it to anyone who wants mouth-watering food. Their carrot relish is incredible, have been unsuccessfully trying to make it since returning home!! After meal we visited beautiful Arnside to see the sunset. Do book before you visit as it is always busy.

Only a very small curry house! Glad we booked. Obviously very popular with the locals and not hard to see why. The food was fantastic, great taste and lots to offer. We went for the set menu which was explained really well when we had questions on it. The staff were great! Really attentive and so so friendly. Even if passing through I'd recommend No.3 in a heartbeat.Dietary restrictions: Staff were so friendly that talking to them about dietary needs was not a problem at all!

Staying locally for a short break and being a big curry fan I decided to research the area for a suitable restaurant. No.3 Curry house sounded very good so decided to order , we had for mains Tikka Naga & Kahari, both chicken dishes. All the food was of a very high standard , service was also excellent. If in the area do not hesitate to order as we will when next visiting.

Absolutely beautiful! We had onion bhaji’s to start which were the best we have ever had. Freshly cooked. The food was really delicious and the service was really friendly. There is no alcohol-so bring your own but they are happy to provide glasses and a minimal service charge! Thank you so much!
