Lovely pub. Good service & 1 decent draught beer. Friendly staff. Food looked good but we didn't eat there.

We couldn't get served nobody at the bar. Walked out after 5 minutes.Plenty of more quality pubs where service is responsive.

Wow what a lovely little gem of a pub! We stopped in for lunch - really down to earth friendly vibe. the bartender was lovely and really attentive. Food was incredible, and lots of places say food is homemade but you can tell it’s not, this is definitely homemade using really good quality fresh produce. I had the steak and ale pie & chips and the other half had the all day breakfast, both absolutely delicious. Proper log fire burning and incredible drinks selection - Real ale served in proper jugs as well, I could go on… if you’re ever in the area definitely give this place a go, these guys know hospitality :)

came here on a rainy day for pub lunch and got what we wanted - hearty food, a beer and a fire! I had steak and ale pie and the other half had Cumberland sausage and mash - both were decent meals and good value too.

Food & drinks: Sunday lunch waste of money. Pre-cooked sliced meat warmed up. 2 roast potatoes looked re-warmed, not crispy or tasty.

Just arrived in the area for a few days and needed some food so just walked in here as some other places nearby where not serving food until after 6. We all really enjoyed our food, there were 5 if us including 3 teens. Everything was fresh hot and big portions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was quite a lively and rowdy pub when we first arrived, with a variety of people there. The people were very friendly and the staff were welcoming and approachable. We all really enjoyed our meals (the portions were huge too!). It was good value for what we got and my sticky toffee pudding was delicious. We would come again if near Sedbergh in the future as they're dog friendly too.

This is an excellent traditional pub that also does food. With its roaring real fire and comfortable seating at one end, and a pool table at the other it's got great atmosphere. Jennings and Wainwright hand pull beers are served at their best. Range of lagers and ciders as well. Excellent service from the friendly staff. Recommended. Nearby pay and display car park.
