Lovely spot by the river, with a good selection of cakes to go with your tea or coffee.

We travelled to the Tea Room at Farfield Mill at the last minute, and without having had lunch before we set off.The menu wasn't extensive, but was more than adequate to suite most needs, and the service was first class! The lady that brought out our meals was friendly and helpful, and obviously enjoyed her work. The adjacent table had a very friendly dog, so it was nice to see that dogs were welcome. Our table was decorated with fresh wild flowers which topped off what was a thoroughly pleasant experience.

Just stopped for cup of tea. Mill was very popular. Tiffin was welcome. Tea for two was a bargain 5 cups in one pot. Didn't stay long enough for 5 stars but it probably would deserve it.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

Food tasted lovely but my goodness you don't get much for what you pay - spoiler alert; it isn't cheap. Super small portions. Had a baked potato and tuna mayo - the potato had been nuked in the microwave and was a bit mushy but the tuna was moist and tasty and the homemade (perhaps?) colslaw was lovely but just not nearly enough. Now I complain about the plate size because at 8 pounds I would have expected a good, hearty, whole plated feed.
Lovely cafe, good choice of food, very friendly and accommodating staff.

A nice little cafe with a modest selection of well priced light bites

Great place to visit any time, great Tea room, amazing art exhibitions, well worth a visit. Good car park, wheel chair friendly, with lifts to the the different floors for the exhibitions.

Stopped here for afternoon tea. Found staff very friendly and efficient. A good venue to visit if viewing exhibits in the mill or just travelling between the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria.
Nice cakes, quite pricey.
