Went to bloomers of bakewell, had a nice lunch, tried the bakewell tart (delicious), staff extremely friendly, despite being very busy .Will definitely come back .

Friendly staff but sadly not making Bakewell Puddings to a traditional recipe. Full of preservatives and emulsifiers and not passing the taste test either. Try the in house made puddings from The Bakewell Pudding Parlour nearby.

Lovely bakery in the heart of Bakewell. Sweet treats are 5/5 - the Bakewell tarts were perfect. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting the area.

This bakery was just around the corner from one of the stops of the open top bus tour on the Peak Sightseer.I’m glad we jumped off here and turned left into this picturesque street.I love the history of this bakery and the construction of its gorgeous stone building. The taste of their original bakewell pudding and the whole experience transported me to another era.

Slightly baffled by the great reviews of Bloomers. We bought several things including a Bakewell Pudding, a tart, pork pie, Parkin and some scones and were pretty disappointed with the quality across the board. Pastry was universally flaccid, everything was filled with palm oil and a variety of ingredients that were not in the 100yr old recipe they boast about! I’d give it a miss.

In the past we have had lovely quiche from this bakery .Unfortunately something has changed as in the ingredients. 2 weeks ago the quiche tasted so gritty so much so we decided itbest not to eat it. However we thought we would give them another chance. Cheese and onion this time around. Sorry but it tasted like scrambled egg and again gritty the taste was disgusting and yet another saw the bin.Powdered egg springs to mind.Sorry but won't be coming back. Real shame

Incredibly friendly service. An enormous selection of savoury and sweet foods. Beef and ale pie was a sensation with an excellent egg custard pie for desert, straight out of the very top draw.
Just wanted to say what a tremendous little place this was. The lovely woman working in there put up with all my friends questions and helped us work out what to eat! All reasonable prices, couldn’t recommend enough.

Have been visiting Bakewell for many years and this is always our go to for Bakewell Puddings and Tarts. Small team of bakers produce some amazing bakes, and not just the expected Bakewells. Lovely setting, really old fashioned and traditional and the staff are always so lovely.

Delicious range of cakes including the traditional Bakewell pudding! Staff were really friendly and it wasn't too busy even on a Saturday.

The place is so in fitting with Bakewell, but the tart, pudding, and egg custard just did not work - not really sure what is going off TBH, but the deserts for our party evenings were so wrong, sorry..... the pudding in particular was awful, sorry......
