Stayed for the night as I was on business in Bakewell. I loved everything about the place, from the warm welcome of both staff and locals; to the excellent food and accomodation. My dog "Polly" was spoilt rotten Thank you so much Emma and co for your hospitality, and we will be coming back to stay again soon

Popped in for dinner, as it was right next door to my b&b. Wasn't all too impressed with the bartender. He seemed annoyed that I didn't know after one second what I was ordering. The portion of the food was generous, but flavor felt lacking to me (pie and mash). I'd visit again, hoping for a better experience next time.

Had the belly pork with back pudding mash and the fudge cake with ice cream for pudding. Was absolutely beautiful. Lovely staff who were welcoming and extremely experienced. Couldn’t ask for me for a pub lunch on a day out in Bakewell

Visited the Manners today, and what a lovely, warm, and friendly atmosphere. The menu is good, comprehensive, and has plenty to choose from. The staff are friendly and the fresh cooked food is of excellent quality. I would recommend the Manners to anyone.

Arrived for a booking at 4pm in the afternoon. 6 mains on the menu plus 4 burgers (1 beef and eggs which is a bit niche, one chicken, 1 veggie, 1 vegan). Freezing in the pub. waiter comes to us immediately to state 4 mains are unavailable, no steak pie, no lamb curry, no cottage pie, no risotto. On looking at the menu we realise that between us there’s now 2 options; fish and chips, or hanging chicken kebab, or 2 burgers we’d eat (this was a birthday meal so burgers weren’t really planned). Took 25 minutes for someone to then come back to ask if we were ready to order; at which point, it was a flat no, as there’s nothing to eat we wanted. We’d come out of our way to try here. Still sat here uncomfortably cold waiting for the girl who came over to ‘see what she can do’, and waiting for our transport all the way back to Dronfield to go to our local curry house and hopefully rectify the day. Appalling, don’t bother

Stayed for one night, arrived early, room was ready. Lovely cosy room. It had the best tea tray we have ever come across. The landlady was so nice and the hospitality was the best. We also had dinner and breakfast, both were delicious. Will definitely be back and might try and eat more chocolate.

We only visited whilst waiting for a bus but ended up staying for a lovely couple of hours. A really warm and friendly pub with great quality food. Great experience all round, thanks!

After the restaurant we'd planned to visit lost our reservation, we were very lucky to get a table for 5 at very short notice. We hadn't Googled the place - we just turned up in hope of a hot meal. What we got were some of the best pies, burgers and pints imaginable. It might have been the drizzly weather, or the several pints of Unicorn we'd consumed, but The Manners was like an oasis. The service was excellent, and we tipped generously - it was perfection.

This little pub was in walking distance from our Hotel. Quite small but friendly atmosphere. Staff were very nice and the food was lovely. I had the steak & Unicorn Ale pie which was delicious. My friends both loved their meals too. Good value and food was hot and served promptly. Recommended

Lovely little find with great food and staff. The burger I had there was the best burger I’ve had for a long time!

The staff at The Manners were so friendly and helpful and the food was great. I had the hanging tikka kebab, which was excellent, and my wife and friends had the steak and ale pie, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. The pub has a cozy atmosphere and is perfectly located for the centre of Bakewell. It’s also dog-friendly and the staff made a real fuss of our cocker spaniel Sparky! Great pub.

Came for lunch, they were extremely busy but did manage to fit us in. Food was fabulous and the waitress was great fun.

very cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff. Food was really good and had some interesting features - the vertical kebabs in particular were not only large and tasty, but unusual. Good beer and convivial environment. Just the meal for a cold autumnal evening.
