From a drag performers perspective Baby M is the perfect place for a gig located at 18 Sadler Gate it’s in the heart of Derby making it easy to travel to. A fantastic landlord and landlady, spotlessly clean pub and fabulous atmosphere, great choice of drinks especially their cocktail list. I hired Baby M for a birthday party and couldn’t recommend it enough! Not only was the owner Kev so helpful in replying to all of my many questions via Instagram but he was so helpful when going to view the venue and set up the event.The space is the perfect size for an event as it’s big enough for a lot of people but you can really fill the room and create that busy party atmosphere without the awkwardness that big rooms often bring. There is a great cocktail selection that is reasonably priced and the staff are so friendly and understanding. You don’t have to add anything to the room if you don’t want to as they already have a really cool vibe with neon lights and plants around.Not to mention, the DJ they provided was lovely, he was happy to take suggestions but mixed a playlist I pre-made perfectly! Would love to host a party there again or at least go there for a night out, it’s such a great addition to Derby and Sadler gate!

This place sets the ideal ambiance for a lovely evening with friends! I chose it for a kick-off of karaoke, and it turned out to be just right. The drink specials were fantastic, and the staff was wonderfully courteous. Since it was my first visit and I planned to celebrate my birthday there, I reached out to the owner, Kev. He was incredibly attentive to our needs and impressively prompt in responding to my messages. I will definitely be going back!

This is a great bar to visit if you just want to have a fun time, be that with a large group of friends or just you and your other half. Staff are always friendly and ready to help, the interiors are very grammable, drinks and cocktails are made properly and reasonably priced and the music is always on point. We love visiting here and think it really has given Derby something different. If I could sum it up in one word: funDefinitely give it a try

A great little bar situated in the heart of Derby on Saddler Gate. We have been there on numerous occasions and it has never failed to disappoint. The staff are friendly and the cocktails are great. They also have local DJ'S and vary the music. Enjoy!
If you’re looking for incredible cocktails, this is the best place to get them!I’ve been coming here since they first opened a few months back and having experienced cocktails from all around Derby, I can confidently say that they have the best cocktails in the city! They are very knowledgeable about their drinks, super lovely and always ready for a chat!The venue itself has a great atmosphere, perfect bar/nightclub vibes. It has an upstairs sitting area where the bar is located and downstairs sitting as well. Upstairs they usually have a live DJ and an open space which can act as a dance floor.I highly recommend that you check out the place for yourselves!

Great hosts, lovely atmosphere. We had a pizza and bottomless Prosecco booked and it didn’t disappoint. Pizza was really good and the drinks were flowing. Would defiantly recommend a visit !

We make a point to stop by on most nights out here. The decor is fun and inviting with plenty of room for a boogie and the bar has a great selection of drinks. The music is always on point and Baby M showcases great Dj sets on a regular basis which makes it a unique experience every time we come back. See you again soon Baby M, we'll be back!

Baby M offers a unique aesthetic with great drinks offers, decent music and friendly staff. Benefiting from two intimate upstairs rooms, featuring a projector and a clean bar; Baby M was the perfect place for me and a few friends to enjoy some beers before a night out. The safe and friendly atmosphere was that good that we even returned later on in the evening for a cheeky night cap before the obligatory Saturday night kebab. Would recommend checking out this cool little bar if you haven’t already.

Had a few great nights here and friendly staff go above and beyond to clear drinks and serve drinks well. This place is QUIRKY and FRESH not stuffy like most bars, lots of air circulation, nice mix of music from Funky house to Pop and Dance music etc music for all tastes if your friends have different tastes, nice mix of drinks plus the cocktail tea pots are great and plentiful, staff interact with guests which too which is nice, looking forward to the summer nights with live Djs playing here too.
