Pasta was really tasty but i have to say portion size was really small, it's a shame because that makes the food really overpriced for the quantity you get. Focaccia was not the best, it felt like it was a few days old. This didn't used to be like that before so clearly a downgrade in their new management style and cutting corners which is really disappointing considering it was such a great place previously.

Amazing italian food, excellent quality, tasty, fresh and good sized portions. Came in for dinner before Christmas and was a very welcoming, pleasant and homely atmosphere. Our table was attended to by the server Charlie, who was wonderful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. He was attentive to all of our needs and dietary requirements, as well as patiently taking the time to go through the menu and gave us some recommendations (which tasted wonderful). Lots of delicious sounding dishes on the menu, so felt spoilt for choice! (But means will have to come back to try them :) ) The service was 10/10 thanks to Charlie, alongside the the welcoming atmosphere and made our experience of dining at Carluccios Derby a lovely evening. We will definitely be coming again :)

First time visiting, we had a full english breakfast and an eggs benedict that were incredible. Service outstanding - Charlie was great and looked after us really well. Will be back in January for 50% of mains! Thank

Came for early dinner. Moktails a little lackluster. Filled with ice and flavourless. They did modify to our taste. The food was good, didn't like the lukewarm fries and burger but they rectified that quickly. Quite expensive and portions for men are a little small as my sons were not totally satisfied. The ladies in our group were full. Staff were helpful and friendly and atmosphere good. I would come back.

I visited this place today (27.12.23) the first time and I am very disappointed. I came just to drink latte. I was asked if I booked the table, I said: No. And then I was told to sit outside the restaurant, though there were a lot of vacant tables and they were not even cleaned for a long time (I passed by this place several times that day and saw that the same tables were not cleaned). The waiter said that all of them were booked but it was a lie. I said that it would take me only several minutes to drink my coffee but he sent me outside. So, I took a seat outside in the draught, it was very cold, waited for 15 minutes and at last my latte arrived, it was cold (slightly warm) and tasted as if it contained only water and milk, slightly reminded the taste of coffee. It was the worst latte in my life. I asked the waiter if the seats inside are only for English people, and outside only foreigners and black people have to sit. He said:No, all tables are reserved. But I heard myself new customers saying to the waiters that they didn't book, but nevertheless they got the tables inside and only I was sitting outside, shivering and drinking cold awful water with milk for £3.70. It was so insulting. They have to treat all customers equally, friendly, politely with respect, no matter what nationality they are. I wanted to pay immediately but the waiter said that he would come back (but he didn't). Then someone from the staff appeared and sat behind me. It was so offensive. I realised he came to keep an eye on me as if I could go without paying. I am an old decent lady and I wanted to pay as soon as my horrible drink arrived. Besides waiters did not pay any attention to passerbys who could take seats at the tables outside with their own drinks (cola, beer) and sat with their feet on the seats next to me. I asked two girls to leave that place as they were not customers but sitting with their feet on the seat and drinking their own drink, though it was that man's duty to ask them to leave. The waiter did not appear and I had to go myself to pay. I asked why customers cannot pay cash as it is against the law, cash is not cancelled in this country and customers have to have a choice. I saw several people left this place for that reason. He said that it is the Company policy. So, the Company breaks the law then and loses customers. Then I asked why they do not mention about promotions in the menu and most people do not know anything about monthly promotions (e.g. in December you eat or drink something and in January you can get the main meal for half price). He said that people can read about promotions everywhere. Where everywhere, I wonder? And I have to add that I was given the receipt only after I asked for it. The staff doesn't think about the reputation of the place where they work. I won't recommend this place to anybody after such an awful experience.

Had the Christmas menu which we really enjoyed. It was very tasty and good value for money. Service was perfect, the staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the ingredients and menu and accommodated my fussy requests and questions. Lovely restaurant and atmosphere.

I like Carluccio's. The staff are always great. The menu can get a bit off, at time, but the current menu seems spot on.

1 Star marked down due to the fact I had 2 hefty bits of very fatty and gristly prices of meat in my sauce. Also due to the size of the portion.Everything else was exceptional. Especially the starters. My issue is though the mains were barely any larger than the starters, which makes for less value... How much does a handful of extra pasta cost you? Cmon.We spent just over £100 for two people having two courses, myself had one soft drink and a water and my partner has 2 alcoholic drinks. ... Oh and my homemade lemonade wasn't even a full glass (that was a joke I think for the price of some lemon juice and soda water). This was more than we anticipated on paying but considering the likes of Zizzi and the food you get from there this was miles better.I would say though, compared to somewhere like Wagamama the price and flavour isn't as good.I would go again, but I'd likely have just the prawn starter as it was excellent ?

Great Italian place with good service. Not the first time here. The Cream of Celeriac Soup was truly delicious, as were the Mushroom and Truffle Arancini from the Christmas Menu. The Saltimbocca Vin Santo and Mushroom dish was a bit too salty, and the Lobster & Crab Black Tortelloni was slightly spicy. In conclusion, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. You can't go wrong by choosing Italian cuisine.

We only had coffee but the service was good and it didn't matter that we didn't order food. Would recommend ?

So wonderful to find Caluccios again after two in Nottingham closed, we were devastated as we had made a habit of going every Saturday morning We now go to Derby when we have time and it’s as wonderful as ever the staff are lovely especially the young man with the flash of blonde in his fringe he is a treasure and I will ask his name when I’m next there.
