I had a minor issue with my breakfast but April resolved it promptly and efficiently and turned what could have been a negative into a positive. Great customer service despite it being really busy and short staffed.

Well before I leave a review we went here for breakfast yes it was buy one get one free but I still expected a level of quality and standard....Bacon..... more like raw pig , undercooked and more fat than bacon.Sausages ... looked lovely till you ate them definitely reheated from the days before.Mushrooms ... dry ohhh so dry.Toast... stone cold and burnt.The coffee... think your machine was out of milk ... cappucino and latte were awful.Table was sticky and filthy upon arrival.The service was well.... seriously poor , the lad that served us had no manners , looked and spoke to us as of to say how dare you come to the bar and expect me to serve you.Well considering this is the home of derby county you've definitely lost this home game . Such as shame

Went here on Mother's Day for a meal, we booked a table for 430pm and got there 5 mins before our booking, before our backsides even touched the seats we were TOLD that they wanted the table back at 6.30. was shown to table and within 2 mins it was can I take your order now, dinner was brought to table within 10/15 mins. I had gammon what tasted "off" it was dry in the inside. Put me right off. Fast forward 30 mins later, we had finished and ordered desserts. Well they took 45 mins to come out and nothing how we imagined them to be. In fact they wasn't very nice either. We are regular Greene King customers and this visit was well and truly a let down. I won't be returning in a hurry to The Merlin. Highly disappointed.

Everyone on the bar was really nice and friendly, well done to tilly molly and Toby. However, kai was very rude to me when delivering my dessert really late. Jessie was welcomin and polite. But I thought kia had a poor manner of service and I am really disappointed and I feel like they are letting down the team with rude manners and the lack of hygiene put me off my food
Had a lovely meal, staff very friendly and efficient will go again and recommend the Merlin.Parking: Plenty of free parking
