On arrival we asked for a table to be told we don't do walk ins and that they only take bookings online. I could see the place was empty with lots of available tables. I said I would book online. Before I got my phone out the lady walked off saying right I'm off upstairs. When I finally connected to WiFi, dowllnloaded the app and booked a table for 14:30 another member of staff approached me saying I'm not sure if she told you but we have a technical problem in the kitchen so there may be a 30 minute wait. We sat down and by this time I didn't feel welcome. 5 minutes later the other lady came to take our order saying sorry about that we are just short staffed. I informed her we had changed our minds and ate elsewhere.Extremely disappointed with the service.

Was in Derby on a course for work and found this place on my maps in the town centre. Food and service both amazing. Our server was Emma and she was excellent. I would rate it more stars if possible ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a mates birthday, when the steaks came out to the table everyone was surprised with faces like a kid opening there main Christmas present. Definitely going back with the friends that had food envy when we shared the pictures.

Called in on the off chance, and they had a table available to us. We had to be wheeled out! The food was excellent, served on hot stone, ready to cut into strips to cook at the level you want it. The portions are very large, taste great, and the service is excellent. Would definitely return. But I will need to make sure I haven't eaten at all that day before ?

Food was amazing so no complaints there. However service was atrocious. Booked around a month ago on the website for valentine’s day and rang in a few days prior to the 14th to double check the booking. Spoke to a lovely lady who had issues finding the booking but confirmed it was all good for 6pm. Rang in again on the day informing them we would be 5-10 minutes late due to the uber driver and traffic and they could not find my booking. Had a few issues but resolved by booking another one for 6:15. Arrived at the venue and were rushed to our seats with no introduction to the menu, the facility, anything at all. For the price of the food, I would expect at the least an introduction to the menu. Especially as other customers seemed to receive this service upon seating. We were served and ordered starters and drinks along with the mains but my other half got served a main before our starters even came out. Not thinking anything of it, she started cutting some stuff up as I sat puzzled until a member of staff did a double take and asked us if we’d had our starters yet. I said we had not and she rushed off to come back and grab the food from under my partners nose stating “that isn’t yours darling” without an apology or an explanation. My partner was left feeling worried she had done something wrong and confused as to what had just happened. Our starters came out and everything went smooth until I asked a member of staff for a jug of water. I patiently waited as I understood it was valentine’s day and they may have more important things to attend, but approaching the 30 minute mark, I asked another member of staff for a jug of water to replace my empty glass. She said of course and did not return until the meal had concluded. I asked her again for a jug of water and she replied “oh yeah”. This was approximately 80 minutes since I first asked. I at least expected an apology but none was given. I also noticed midway through the meal a member of staff was mucking about with a bottle of wine I assume it to be when it smashed on the floor. I saw a few customers jump as it made rather a loud noise and interrupted our valentines meals. I understand mistakes are made and bottles get smashed but it seemed like he was trying to juggle it or toss it in the air? For the price of a meal I expected it to be less rushed and a bit more respectful but the food was delicious nevertheless.

Food may appear pricey, do not be put off it is delicious and a lovely experience on the hot stone plates.

The food is amazing, the steaks come out hardly done and then you cook it to your taste on the hot lava stone. Very unique but awesome idea. Well worth a visit.Wheelchair accessibility: We managed to get a wheel chair around and the staff where very accomodating.

Banging steak ?! best I’ve had in a long time by far my favourite steak restaurant! Sammy the manager very friendly and professional. The bold geezer who owns the place even bought me a beer! ?

Had a lovely meal here , very different from the normal but lovely, the staff were welcoming and the service good . A bit on the pricey side but we felt it was worth it and we will go again . Loved the fact I could cook my steak exactly as I like it . All in all we had a great experience

We had a lovely meal here was excellent and the finishing off of the steak on the black rocks was great as you can have it your own preference the chicken was lovely and portion sizes were great just

Do not go here if you want to stink of smoke for the rest of the night!Due to the steaks being cooked on a black rock, the room was incredibly Smokey and very strong smelling. Currently on the way home to have a shower as all of our hair stinks of smoke and grease. Extremely unpleasant. If a facility is good enough to offer such an experience (which was different, and the food was good) , surely air conditioning should be essential. The air was full of smoke and it just stunk, and now I do too. Given the prices, AC should be a basic in this restaurant!The floors were also really greasy and multiple of us slipped on it.As I say, food was great and it was nice to have a different experience; I would just prefer to continue smelling nice rather than a steakhouse. Will not return.
