Always excellent food , staff could do with a smile on there faces and please mend the door where you go in to fetch food , it really gets on your nerves banging each time someone goes in , the out door is fine

Friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us , nothing was too much trouble . Lovely food nice atmosphere . Even with a lively 2 year old who was slow to settle “ Clair” lady serving our table was extremely helpful and attentive .

Been to the mundy arms this afternoon as always, I was waiting to be served however the manageress/ supervisor was serving really bad for Friday tea time...however she had poured drinks and asked a member of staff if she would take the drinks to a table very politely the member of staff replied "why whats wrong with you taking them" quite nastily!! Oh wow never have I experience anything like it. The manageress then came to serve me and apologies for the wait. Which was gratefully welcomed. However during my visit I was hearing staff moaning that the supervisor/manager had left her position before her end of shift due to the confrontation and staff was moaning that she had left them in a mess. I do believe if this is the case the manageress had handled the situation in a professional way and not made an issue out of the situation. However I do believe the other member Of staff (a female) should also be dealt with as this was not professional one bit. I felt sorry for the supervisor for losing her job role if this is the case.

We stayed at the hotel right next door to the Mundy Arms and so decided to give it a go. Really pleased that we did. We all enjoyed our food and it was good value for money. Would definitely return! The staff were really friendly.

Atmosphere great! Wonderful food and drinks and the service was fast with a smile. Staff are genuine and care about customers. Manager was a particular highlight, such a nice bloke!

We had the most amazing trip here recently… we were warmly welcomed by the general manager who made sure we were comfortable and served us really quickly! The food was incredible- I’d recommend the burgers! Incredible service and a really warm welcome :)

I’ve been to the Mundy Arms a few times now, and have always found the food and service great! I visited over the bank holiday weekend and was very pleased to see great vegan food on the menu. I had the ultimate vegan nuggets- they were amazing!! The staff were very friendly and kept my children entertained with colouring. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

First visit here after a friend’s recommendation. The food was excellent and arrived pretty quickly. The service of a friendly waitress and bar staff added to a very pleasant experience which I would definitely repeat. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Had a 4.30pm booking at the weekend for a table of 5. As we sat and discussed the menu, a lady on another table heard 3 of us were going to order beef roasts and told us that Yorkshire puddings had already run out. We decided to go for it anyway, only to be told at the counter that beef had now ran out and only chicken roast left. Went back to the table to check it was ok with the others and by the time I was back at the counter, guess what? Chicken had now ran out. One of the others meal wasn't available either so only 1 out of 5 managed to get what they originally chose from the menu

Just been to the mundy arms at marpool had the worst meal ever . I had chicken kebab which said was serverd with spicy fries. They were cold chips with loads and loads of spice shook onto them and when I say loads I mean loads . The bread was chewy there was about 5 peices of dry cold chicken in it and again loads and loads of red chilli peppers in it and a small pot of coleslaw. My husband had fish and chips the chips was cold the fish must have been reheated the batter was like a brick if you’d have thrown it at someone it would have knocked them out . The worst meal I’ve ever had won’t be visiting again ?

It's a shame this is the only real pub/restaurant in Heanor. It's never perfect, but you get what you pay for! This time was soggy buns and undercooked chips that had to be swapped so me and my partner ate separately. Then her bottled drink was 8 months out of date. Swapped again, but blame was put on the fact they supposedly just got those bottles in and more importantly, no apology.Last time here.
