11/10 This place is truly lovely. Absolutely everything on the menu is beautiful, both sweet and savoury food is absolutely gorgeous and the service is fantastic. It has such a cute and welcoming vibe and I love coming here, I would come to Matlock just for their fresh treats that are made daily, they are some of the best deserts I have ever had. Cannot recommend this place

Weirdest bacon sarnie ive ever had. Bacon baked in a little oven on the counter. Was like chewing on ghandi’s flip flop. Coffee nice tho and service friendlyDietary restrictions: Bacon no good if you wear dentures lol

This was a highly disappointing experience. The place looked so inviting from the outside - spotlessly clean and nice decor. It was nearly empty when all the others we had passed were busy so, I suppose, this should have set alarm bells ringing as we soon found out why. The price they charge for drinks is staggering (shame on them, given the current recession/cost of living crisis, it’s nothing short of pure greed) - I can honestly say that was the single most expensive drink that myself, and everyone else in my party, had ever purchased! The scones were actually cheaper than the drinks however, as the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. Extremely poor quality home made scones, with too little sugar and too much salt giving a very strange and disagreeable taste. Staff were pleasant enough but enjoyed a bit too much “banter” between themselves for our liking, especially the elderly portly chap. Needless to say, we won’t be returning next time we are in the area.

Arrived just after 4pm on a Saturday, it had customers inside; but the sign on the door said closed and the door was locked.Shocked to experience this despite it saying closes at 5 online and the sign outside says food served all day.

We were going to go for ice cream but we got distracted by cake. In particular, the Lotus Biscoff cheesecake served in half a chocolate egg. Yes, you heard that, right. It tasted as good as it sounds, too.I'm assuming the place is family run because the lady and gentleman that served us we so nice and welcoming. It was more like going to a mates house for tea and cake.I like Matlock Bath anyway, but this will have me coming back again.Parking: There is on the street parking, but it is limited to around an hour.Alternatively, there are car parks, but these do fill up on nice days.

Called in when visiting as looked inviting, this venue does not disappoint. Lovely clean restaurant with friendly staff happy to help. Lovely clean loo too which is a great indicator of the care by owners.Cream tea was yummy and coffee served extra hot as requested. All staff were busy but had time to chat and have banter with the customers. Such a lovely atmosphere and clear passion for service, would recommend and return! Price was also good value for money.

FABULOUS. On our first visit to this great coffee shop, the owners and staff were so friendly. It was like we had known them for years. The coffee and food was prepared fresh and great conversation. We decided this would be our go to place while away for a few days. We visited a number of times and decided to go on Saturday morning and then in the afternoon, for tea and cake. We talked about why we were in Matlock Bath and it was my partners 60th. We were both taken back by the owner giving us a bottle of fizz and 2 glasses. Thankyou guys in making our visit a special one. We will be popping in everything were in the area. Good luck in the future guys, you've got a fabulous business. Xx
