Standard of food is good & is reasonably priced for a take out. Premises seem clean and meal ready for collection on time. However, the young woman on front of house couldn't have been more indifferent had she tried. No smile, no greeting, earbuds well in place listening to heaven knows what. Paid by card, not asked if I needed a receipt and simply turned and walked away before I could utter a word. She may have inter-personal issues or whatever that aren't necessarily her fault or, she may just be rude. But..... this young lady shouldn't be front of house as she creates a negative impression I'm afraid.

We’ve been ordering from this takeaway at least three times a month for the last three years. The quality of food is consistently excellent and we’ve never had any disappointments. The staff are lovely and friendly, the service is quick and the flavours are varied and delicious. Our favourites are salt and pepper chips, special curry, chow mein and wandering dragon.

Have been enjoying takeaway from here for over thirty plus years, but last night was a huge disappointment. More onions than anything else in the satay duck dish, salt and pepper chips major disappointment soggy and made with potatoes that had been stood to long in water, the special chow main tasted as though the pan had cleaning product still in it and the noodles had been cooked with the product, this was truly a unusual experience for a restaurant I have recommended to friends and family. Not what I am used to and totally disappointed.

Set meal for one was not too bad, could of been a bit hotter and as I live 3 minutes away the chicken was only warm.Friendly staffVegetarian options: Lot's to choose and they are very helpful ☺️Parking: No problem outside parking

It seems to have gone downhill recently. Tonight’s takeaway was flavourless. We ordered egg fried rice but it wasn’t that. The duck had no flavour and the skin was rubbery. The sweet and sour sauce was a jelly. Won’t be going back in a hurry. Certainly not worth what we paid.

The food is reasonable but not exciting. The big letdown, in my opinion, is the lack of variety in the vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: Virtually non-existent.

Phoned order ahead to be told to collect in 20 minutes to then wait another 40 minutes on top of that to drive home and have five items missing even though the incompetent waste of oxygen on the phone read our order back to us on the phone so I return to be treated like I've made the mistake not them, if you can't even take orders in a takeaway then your a stain on the earth and a oxygen thief thanks for ruining my meal I paid £70 for.....pathetic

One of the worst Chinese meals we've had. Crispy Duck had no taste. Wandering Dragon just tasted of salt. Other dishes tasted like someone had gone mad with chilli flakes. We won't be back.

I've eaten take away Chinese food from here for over 20 years and never been disappointed it's always busy so it is best to order by phone

I did not put up a review on our prior visit in case the poor for quality was a one off. However, three last time we ordered did it was actually unpleasant.Over the years food here has gone up and down but this was by far the worst experience we have had.I understand they now only have a one star food rating, which I guess explains things.Instead now getting Chinese food from Matlock Bath, which is excellent. We shall they again Birds Nest at some point but certainly will not hurt back.
