Had a wonderful meal at this lovely classic pub in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Derbyshire hills. Lovely Inn! The rooms were clean and comfortable with tea and biscuits in the room. The breakfast included was delicious, with locally sourced ingredients. The staff and owner were very friendly and made you feel at home. Great views. Will definitely be back next time we are in the Peak District. They would definitely win 4 in a Bed if they went on.Rooms: Rooms were lovely and clean. Very comfortable beds and a great tea selection.Nearby activities: Snake Pass hike is only 15 minutes away.Food & drinks: Breakfast was brilliant. All locally sourced ingredients.

Food & drinks: We didn't stay over, just called in for lunch. Lovely friendly country pub. Our starters were fabulous, but the Lamb Henry was disappointing. It looked amazing but the gravy was completely tasteless (flour, water & gravy browning with the tiniest hint of mint. Not remotely "meaty". )

Great location. The rooms are clean and have everything you would need. The bed is comfortable, and the shower has pressure, not like some places with just a trickle of water. The breakfast is good quality, and the staff are amazing.. I had a great time here, thanks very much.

We have been customers of the Pack Horse In for nearly 20 years and it gets better and better.My mum used to stay in the ground floor room which is great if you have limited mobility. She would open the door to the most wonderful views.We enjoy walking up to Mellor cross and coming back here for a beer and their wonderful cheese and onion pie.Lovely staff in a wonderful location
