I can only concur with others. Very good food, excellent service and a great experience. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and were surprised just how busy it was. One of our party was in a wheelchair but staff accommodated us brilliantly. Faultless; highly recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: We had a good experience.

The woman with the short blonde hair, looks abit like rod stewart is rude and arrogant. clearly shouldn’t work in a place that involves interacting with people, had a face like thunder and her attitude stinks! wouldn’t return thanks to her how ever The young waiter couldn’t help us enough.

Food was gorgeous but there was1 small hitch my son's girlfriend had turkey and 1 of the slices was a bit red and she's pregnant so she asked for another slice within a minute of getting another slice this lady come running to the table saying that we would have to pay for the extra slice I thought very rude to be honest the reason I'm giving 1star is down to this older lady who I think was a part of management nothing to do with the waiting staff there great

The best way to describe this wonderful restaurant is in the words of the Tina Turner song “Simply the Best”. I doubt you’ll find anything better locally than the Devonshire when considering VFM, service and food quality. The decor is fabulous as is the ambiance within the restaurant. Great service from beginning to end and if you haven’t tried it I recommend you give it a go.

Excellent venue, lovely vibe and interior decor. Service exceptional from the moment we walked in and right up until we were leaving the restaurant. Now for the food: Varied interesting menu makes it hard to choose but choose we did. Starters I chose the soup, butternut squash and cider, which was delicious and served with tasty chargrilled bread and amazing croutons! My husband chose fish croquettes, again delicious with a hearty amount of fish...very well presented too. Mains My choice was char-grilled chicken. It was served with fries, a good portion of fresh salad, mushrooms....all of it very tasty and I was more than happy with my choice....sometimes at other venues you often wish you'd chosen something else! My husband chose sausage and mash, again beautifully presented and lots of vegetables on his plate....he said he made the right choice too. Having watched and smelt another tables choice arrive I just have to try the blade of beef next time.....will there be a next time....oh yes! most definitely the Devonshire. Thank you, really enjoyed our experience with you.

Absolutely Amazing Venue! I bustiers with my husband and my 8 year old son the other day for some food and it was delicious! My husband and I both ordered the filthy swine tray which was so tasty and we both 100% recommend! Our server was Mitchell and he was fantastic, my son absolutely loved him and enjoyed chatting about what Santa had brought him for Christmas! His service was great and really attentive, a credit to your business! My son had a child’s portion of the cornflake tart for dessert and absolutely loved it he said it was the best he had! We will definitely visit again soon!

Came to the Devonshire for Christmas dinner with the family. It was a great meal and great service. A few weeks before we were due to come for Christmas, we needed to add another person to our table and they accommodated this with no hassle. Whilst waiting for our food, we asked if they could add Yorkshire Puddings to our meals as we had forgotten to add them. Again, they accommodated this. The whole meal and service was fantastic!

Alittle disappointing, we’ve eaten at The Dev a lot previously and it’s been better than this visit. We understand we had a 2 hour slot which is fine , but our order wasn’t taken for 20mins from siting down and we ate as fast as the food came. Food was ok apart from over done Yorkshire puddings and stuffing. The waiter came and offered us puddings and took our pudding order (we should have been told we didn’t have time for a pudding ), just as they had taken our order , a potential supervisor / manager came and said the next siting had arrived in the bar and we needed to hurry up. Which we did, but one of our party was still eating his dessert when his bowl was taken from him, whilst this was happening a waitress asked us to help her clear our table by passing glasses and dishes down - we felt so rushed we were speechless. For the cost and place we expected better.

Today we had the pleasure of experiencing, excellent tasty food great choice, presented to high standard. Excellent service, great atmosphere and true Country Pub. Very Welcoming especially at this festive season, tastefully decorated and comfortable seating. Excellent value portions were plenty piping hot! We travelled from West Yorkshire 40miles, friends travelled from Nottingham. Neither of us, had been before! Researched a half way mark, found this GEM will definitely return in the New Year!! Congrats to the staff, HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL.
